    You going 5.29 huh? I'm getting closer and closer to doing lockers and a re-gear. Just got the ARB Dual compressor in that GB, but still trying to decide if I can install the assembled thirds from ECGS myself having never done any diff work before. Seems okay in the rear but the front is a little intimidating.

    Just drive down to ECGS and take a nap on their couch while they get it installed.

    I would *not* go higher than 4.88s on 33s, even with all your extra weight. But yeah, like searartist said, I'm just gonna let some professionals do it cause as much as I'll cut and hammer and mess around with pieces of my truck, I still don't want to mess with engine, transmission, or diff internals without knowing what I'm doing.

    Oh interesting, I can see how that might work. It definitely didnt work for me. The corner of your bumper at the very top of yout pic; I had to trim that as well since the tire would rib that also. My tires must be shifted much further forward.

    everyone's truck is slightly different.. I trimmed a bit off the bumper and the liner, then pulled the lower screw holding the liner to the bumper off pushed the liner in towards the bumper as far as it would go then ran the screw back up. I'm running 5100 struts on the front with OME springs and SPC UCA'S

    Dang. You didn’t really need to trim that much. Back when I had training wheels (just kidding 35’s are perfect size) I trimmed a hell of a lot more than that.

    Don’t the 35’s look so good. Oh if I had a time machine. :)

    It’s quite simple. Here’s the process

    Buy Tacoma
    Spend about 0.5 Tacoma’s on suspension.
    Hammer everything
    Cut off 80% of cab mount
    Cut everything else within 12” of tire
    Enjoy tires that stil rub :rofl:

    Lesson here?

    35 > 37 for function
    37 > 35 for looks

    I want to run 33s on the street and switch to another set of rims with 35s for wheeling, so prolly stick with 4.88s you think then?
