granted I have the shop available to me at work, but it can be done in 15 minutes. For people installing there lift and tire /wheel set up at the same time, this may be a good option for them to check clearance and trim prior to installing struts / coilovers

Ill PayPal anyone ten bucks that go from the ground to removing a coilover, reinstalling the coilover, and lowering the vehicle back down in 15 minutes. I think a lot of you will be surprised how short 15 minutes.

*note this only applies to first person to complete task with video. :D

Haha right! Ive never heard any issues with the rear. I know the fronts are stressed but I believe hes running rcv shafts. They have a warranty on the shafts for up to 44s if I remember correctly.

Is he the guy from marlin crawler?
That one looked and performed great....the double taco box is the shit.

The that diff looks far smaller than a d44, and if people are really wheeling 35s I’m surprised no one is snapping axles.

I’m assuming you guys are wheeling and not doing an 8” block mall-crawl setup.

It is, and he ran the Rubicon trail without issue if I recall. Most people wheel their trucks with 35s.

I'm waiting on a Tacobox, I'm sure in the next 5 years they will make another one.

My axles have been doing fine in Bay Area traffic the last year. No breakages yet!

Another thread reminded me about this. I think I’m going to add spindle gussets to the advanced thread. It’s not really a requirement to run around on the street but I think if you are going to wheel 35s you need gussets.

You're mallcrawling so of course you won't break an axle. I break axles now on 33s wheeling. One day when I'm not a peasant I'll likely go 37s, regear, and RCV shafts simultaneously

Marlin Crawler guy also is twin stick and RCV shafts. Comparing apples to oranges

It was a joke. Well mostly.

I did a lot of wheeling with 33’s. Then a lot more work 35’s. Finally only a few times with 37’s.

I haven’t broken any axles yet.

Anyway you can elaborate on this? I guess I’m chasing numbers.. total newb at this. I’ve had two alignments and both shops put me in factory specs. Even though i told them to maximize my LCA eccentrics and adjust accordingly from ball joint on SPC. From what I’ve read here on TW somewhere between 3° and 4° Caster is the desired setting to minimize rubbing on cab mount and lower fender. Am i missing something? I’m going for my 3rd alignment tomorrow (a shop that has worked w SPCs regularly) just so i know what to look for.

    8F61B986-D0ED-4087-8AB7-AB530C358CC7.jpg
This is from the second shop (first was unable to provide specs) all they did was say ‘you need smaller tires’ and did nothing to tweak my alignment..

    Thoughts?

    Thanks
    Chris
