Intro to fitting 35s (< 3" Lifts for those that wheel and love alignments)

You thinks it's ok to just live with a very slight rub ?
Slightly less agressive tires next time will take care of it.

 

Just be careful when fully locked and off roading. Although that shouldn’t happen much anyway because you want to avoid binding the drivetrain.

 

I'm just gonna deal with till I get some SPC Uppers or tires. I like my wheels so I'll work around the rub. It's super minor but I'm ocd about this stuff....thanks.

 

Mine does the same, but only at full lock in reverse. I just avoid it and trust that I won’t really be in that position when off roading.

 

Finished reading this whole thread. Took a while but good stuff. I think I got all the info I needed to step up from my 255/85R16’s to 35x10.5x17’s at stock ride height. Thanks for all the info and banter.

You guys with the the SPC Upper control arm, what setting are y’all using with your 35s?

I think heart surgery is easier than screwing with that thing,

 

What's difficult about it? You adjust it to push the tire forward (reduced caster) or backwards (increased caster). Also, fixing your camber by moving it laterally.

I'm set on D, which 0 extra caster and have just about 0 camber. I may reduce caster a bit later on up top, but max out caster in my LCAs.

 

How much caster are you at on D with the LCAs maxed out? What is your ride height?

My LCAs aren't maxed out yet; going to do that soon. I'm around a ~2 inch lift on my icons.

 

25% done with my fender trimming. Also added a dorkel because I was done F’ing with the wheel well liners.

 

Round 3 at the CMC. If you’re wondering it still rubs

 

so I added gusseted spindles, smashed the pinch weld and will be doing CMR on Friday. I did a test fit today with the spare and I roughly cleared the uca by 1 inch, but it seems I'm definitely going to rub my rr. Specs are 17x7 with +4 offset and 4.5 bs. I have some 1 in bora spacers coming in. 2 questions, any way to clear the rr without the spacer and 2 if I run the spacer can I assume I have to cut my fender?

 

tires are 35x11.5x17 btw

 

7" wide with +4mm offset is 4.16"bs, just FYI.

And I would just relocate the rr rather than use spacers.

 

yes, I get that with the bs, but what am I missing here? And is there a way to relocate the rr, it doesn't have much wiggle room to move.
