Wow, 1094lb capacity (as delivered) with a curb weight of almost 5500lb (including the 121 lbs of Chinese weldment junk that was subtracted from the capacity). Where on planet earth did Toyota come up with 1700lbs?

Love the aggressive styling and it looks like a factory prepped over-lander.

But it should also have a door sticker that reads:

“Transporting several hundred pounds of sealed nickel-metal hydride underneath your rear passengers may negatively affect payload.”

How many miles do you have on it now?

Are they p-metric tires? sidewall size and make?

Somewhat difficult to understand the limited cargo load capacity of a TH at only
1094 lbs.. (after the reduction of 121 lbs for added equipment)...supposedly improved brakes, revised aftermarket suspension, more load capable 33" tires and new stronger ladder frame.

my 2021 TRD OffRoad AC is 1150 lbs

Isn't the added equipment totaling 121 lbs that which is put on or applied at port?

I believe so. The window sticker, if the OP would post a photo of it, should indicate what was added at port.

A lot. Check out my build page.
Thanks for that measurement. Was very helpful. One other question I had.....are all 4 windows auto up and auto down? Small stupid thing but just curious.

Can you share some pictures of the spare tire and how it is mounted? Full size or compact?

Full size, and what I would consider a standard hanging position under the rear of the bed. Nothing new or unique. My 30 year old 1994 Landcruiser had its full size spare mounted the same way.

So why do the other, non-TH models not fit a full size spare? I thought there was some sort of frame or suspension interference that prevented it, even with the smaller tire sizes.

Heck if I know. All I can tell you is that there's a full size spare under my Trailhunter. Full Pic of tire and close up showing the tire size. 20240626_142313.jpg 20240626_142325.jpg
