I do not have Navigation. I think I have the factory Satellite radio. It had a trial, but by the time I bought the truck from the PO, it was out of service. I know I have a button for it.

I need to double check mine on my work bench. i ordered a couple weeks back/month haven't had time to install mine. Are they supposed to be coated/painted and or have threaded inserts underneath?

They come painted from the factory as a UV protectant. The screw holes are designed to just thread straight into. The prototype with brass inserts was too over the top in terms of engineering and was a design feature that was deemed unnecessary(if that’s what you were referring to).

I guess it’s time to branch out to the GX lineup...

    0B7C2863-5D92-45AA-B4E0-0D56855EDF32.jpg

I’ve never put the old Thule box on the GX, but it doesn’t clear without some rubber spacing on the bar as well as pulling the crossbars as far forward as possible. What Toyota is thinking when they design these factory racks is beyond me. The crossbars are super low profile. I had to make some rubber spacers for the ski/snowboard Thule attachments as well last year.

I just installed a roofnest sparrow XL on my bed rack this weekend. I have an overhang on the back due to the shark fin antenna. The aesthetics of the rear overhang really bother me. I checked out your website but only see 2nd gen covers (need 3rd gen, 2017 model). Let me know so I can place an order, don’t mind blem if you still have some.

The Bullet cover is only available for the 2nd gens due to the difference in location of the am/fm antenna.

I have been working on another 3rd gen cover that will be for the 2020+ Tacoma’s as well as retroactively work for the 2016-2019.

    Update 12-10-20

Another shipment from current manufacturer has arrived and I’ve found several blemished finishes, again. That means the blemish code is still active. That was the final shipment from that manufacturer.

I have moved production of the antenna covers to another manufacturer. Their samples had a more consistent finish to their printing process. I look forward to having less “flops” from this new company.

I’m currently working on the GX460 antenna cover now(as I have my own need for it) and I believe that covers some of the Lexus car models as well. That should be interesting.

Hi Anderson, Weren't you working on an attachment to the windoor that could hold max trax? Looking for that thread and can't seem to find it. Somehow I associate that with you. If so, any movement on that product/idea?

I was/am. I never started a thread for it because it still hasn’t really seen the light of day. @d.shaw has a set of prototypes on him. I hope he gets them fitted soon and gives me feedback. But, since I don’t currently own a Vagabond product, let alone a FrontRunner door, I can’t do all the pictures and stuff with them right now. Plus, since the flatbed project started, I got distracted(squirrel!).
