Haha no problem. Just dickin around. I have no idea what it takes to do what your trying to do so whenever it’s ready is fine for me.

This 30degree NJ weather is just making me antsy to get some projects done before the cold weather is here for good.

When my shark fin got ripped off it completely ripped apart the blue wire harness connector at the end of the shark fin wires that slides into the harness that’s in the roof. I think potentially the inside roof harness got ripped apart to0 but tony really sure. If that’s the case, do you know where I can get the male/female connector that will work with your newer style fin? Or the OEM harness connector?

I will be offering a cover only. If your connector was damaged you will most likely have larger issues at play.

Again, I still need a 3rd gen Tacoma to scan so we can design a bullet cover for that specific models antenna. As soon as that is done, we will let you know.

@Anderson Yeah man so this is what i was left with after having it ripped off...I guess i either gotta buy a new shark fin for the connector, or cut/splice new connectors for the connections. Is it a special connector it needs to use? Is that yellow round thing in my roof supposed to stay attached to the fin? Cause around the edge of the silver part around the wires, some tabs (dont know what else to call em) got ripped off. Do you by any chance, or ANYONE have a picture of the bottom of the fin where the wires are coming out?

This is what is looks like from underneath. In the photo the fastener( or nut) that threads on has a plastic yellow pass through for the electrical. It’s quite a nice piece of thoughtful design. It looks as if you should just get another antenna from a wrecker/recycler.

    That potmetal sheared right off.

Best it did that than pull through the roof though.

You guys dont suppose i can just cut the wires and splice a new connector on both the Cab plug side, and the Shark Fin side? Is the blue connector it uses specific to XM purposes?

That connector is toyota. Those “wires” are RG-6 coaxial cables. Again, probably best to just get a replacement from a wrecker/recycler.
I order a 3rd gen from a recycler here in California and they sent me a 2nd gen. Back to needing a 3rd gen to scan...

I don’t have a 3rd gen available yet. When I do I will let you know.

I am in the process of getting an online store setup and all that Jazz.
