Hi guys, I just got this truck a few months ago. Put on the canopy and roof rack as well as a 2.5 inch leveling kit and hellwig spring helpers in the rear(to stiffen it up, it was just to soft).

Just wondering what everyone thinks about the canopy and the way the truck looks overall. Never was a canopy guy and always thought canopies made trucks look odd, but I have a dog and I don't want him to soak in the omni present Vancouver rain. Plus its good to sleep in when backcountry hiking.

Let me know what you all think, honest opinions, just try not to make me cry.

Think it looks good man. Tacomas are one of the few trucks that I kinda like the look of canopies/shells on.

I think that it looks real good and I would have to agree that a Tacoma is one of the few trucks that looks good with a shell on it! Plus you are using it for practical reasons! Your truck also looks very clean, I like the color!

Honestly, I like the way it looks. Plus like you said, it comes in handy for the dog and your sleeping quarters. Bottom line is, at least you use the darn thing!!:p

Truck looks great. Maybe add the oem roof rack, thats what I'm looking into the trucks that do have them just look more sporty for some reason, IMO!! Welcome to Tacomaworld from south Texas!!:D

I to like the look of the oem roof racks, it does give a sporty look to the truck. I'll also be hauling kayaks up there so the extra roof rack would be nice for long ones.

oswego - I hear what your saying man, I layed down in the bed and it does hurt even through a sleeping bag. I'll be carrying a foam sleeping pad in there, wife already yelled at me for that. Its a good quick solution when its to dark and late at night to set up a tent.

Well............I'm not a fan of Rad Red, not to hurt your feelings or anything. I like the cap. I have a very similiar truck, it is an '06 Rad Red DC LWB 4X4. I have painted my grill surround, fender flares and rear bumper black. My truck was just TOO red for me. Yours looks sharp. Like the lift.

Fire Chief's Truck ...... lol thats awesome man. I actually like that look, i wanted it to be red like a fire truck, just so tired of seeing black and silver everywhere. Not just Tacomas but all vehicles, everyone wants to go the safe route and go with black and silver. Those colors look good but just way to many of them around.....three in my driveway alone. Its nice to stand out, makes it easy to find your truck in large parking lot.:D
