My recommendation would be to make it a little bit shorter so you can put a standard rubber hitch plug over the top and hide it.

I like it! Great when hunting with multiple people. Who knows who gets back first?

Can you explaine the three generations?

    And this totally waterproof?

Or you could just grab a rock and smash the window. These are very well built and can take a beating, the pins are also well built by a reputable company.

It’s not an easy job to get into one and I haven’t heard from anyone that they’ve been broken into.

Yeah that’s another great use! So the first gen had the words “hitch vault” on the end cap and the anodizing has two different finishes.

The second gen has the more durable anodizing and has the HV logo on the end cap. There is no gen 3 yet but we have been messing around with powder coating so we’ll see.

They aren’t waterproof but I’ve pressure washed my truck lots and I’ve never had water in it. I don’t spray directly at the vault but I would say that it’s water resistant. If you want to go submerge it I would recommend just taking out, only take a minute.

I would rather just modify the end cap to fit over it, space is pretty limited so you’d want as much room in the vault as possible.

On the 3rd gen thread a dude glued on his own end cap and it looks good!

I like it, for intended use should be bomber. I would think most would use it away from the crowds - ie away from well equiped thieves. I have this on my to buy list. It would be great on hikes or rides where I don't want to carry anything with me. Cheers

Yeah if you’re camping somewhere and have a 5th wheel or disconnect the trailer you can lock your doors and not worry about losing the keys. Or any of your friends that know the combo can get in but no one else.

Meh. My wetsuit has a key pocket. and if I lose my keys in the water I’m usually on surfing a mile from the house so I can just walk back haha. Cool design but not for me. Plus fiddling with locks after a cold winter surf is NOT easy. I can barely untie my key from the pocket as it is

Re those paranoid about the logo - a two second blast of black spray paint and you are good to go.

I’ve never had a need or thought to have one of these personally. It’s just not for me. But I know other people who would like them. Best of luck to you man, ignore all the others hating on it.

Since we're all picking apart this product, I wanted to throw-out there that I really think you should reconsider the name of your company; Hitch Integrated Vault is much more fitting.

Just got mine in the mail today. Fit and finish are perfect, looks really good and the combo portion seems sturdy.

Super fast shipping too. Thanks again!

Awesome! If you or anyone else has good pictures of their vault, feel free to post or email me and maybe I’ll put it on the website or feature it on instagram!

    Neat idea.
I have seen people put keys in the receiver put the cap/cover on it and go for a walk or jog.
At least your keys will be locked.
