Greetings, future peers of Tacoma World. I'm a happy new owner of my first pickup truck (but 5th Toyota) and thought I'd share some of my positivity with you kind folk. My name's Anthony - but please, just call me Drifter. That nickname takes on a double meaning; you'll see in a moment.

Although Kentucky-born, I was adopted as an infant and consider myself a Jersey native, since I've lived practically all 22 years of my questionably-worthy existance [would say all but I've taken vacations... so yeah.] within the borders of this communist state.

I said I'm 22 years old - but I've owned 8 cars. Yes, EIGHT. Not a typo. It took 6 years for me to figure out you can't have a daily driver as your project/race car. So - here's my track record:

-1987 Toyota Supra - purchased at 68,000 miles traded in at 96,000 miles for a
-1993 Subaru Legacy - purchased at 222,300 miles and drifted into a curb at 240,000 miles
-1987 Toyota Corolla - gifted to me at 145,000 miles and blew the engine at 147,000 miles
-1987 Toyota Supra Turbo - purchased at 129,000 miles; blew head gasket at 136,000 miles and the rest of the engine went at 138k
-1986 Mercury Grand Marquis - purchased at x52,000 miles [owner said 100k, I think 200k] and Adam Ferrara'd at 158,000 miles
-1985 Buick Century - purchased at 89,000 miles and junked for electrical issues and excessive frame rot at 93k
-2010 Toyta Yaris. Purchased new and almost completely worn out/traded in at exactly 25,000 miles.

Alright, you guys are probably shaking your heads at me. But hey... notice a pattern? Anything that wasn't a total heap was considered a 'sporty' car. This is a pickup truck. A WORK truck. I use it to get to work. AND BACK. THAT'S IT. I'd rather lay out all the dumb shit I did first then have it come up in conversation later, and hope y'all can respeckt that. Besides, it's hard to want to race a vehicle that's not known for fuel mileage when I'm so close to hitting that magic 30 MPG marker... I want to rub it in Highlander and Escape Hybrid owner's faces if I can pull off and maintain an average of 30 MPG. Hey, I already averaged a tankful at 28 MPG!

So, some pics of my beloved Tacoma, named Andrew:

That's it for now; gotta punch in and start selling auto parts. Stay tuned! <3
