I am a long time lover of Toyota's. I started with s10's and a Nissan(pre hardbody)and soon learned how much they sucked compared to Toyota's(my buddys 81 Toyota with 33" BFG MTs was the King of my school in the late 90's).
My first Toyota was a 1986 standard cab Turbo model. I bought it with a bad fuel pump, which turned out to be a cut fuel pump power wire, and a rod knock. So I rebuilt the motor, turned up the boost, blew it up then sold it cheap to a friend. I later bought it back with no drivetrain, bought a rolled 85 22re truck of craigslist and truck became the "non Turbo, Turbo yota". Drove it around for a while, then completed a SAS and installed 37's.

When I first bought it(I was 22years old around 2003)

After a while, I sold the 86 to my buddy and picked up a 2000 Tacoma TRD(my dream truck at the time). It stayed pretty much stock for the three years that I owned it. From 2005-2008.

In the mean time, I got the wheeling bug so I picked up a 1984 project.

    Stock

I proceeded to buy a bunch of trailgear parts(leafs, crossover, bilsteins, dual cases, exc.). Then A year or so later I picked up a 3RZ off of craigslist and swapped it in.

Then I got the car bug, sold off the 2000 and the 84 and bought a 2006 Mitsubishi evolution. A few years went buy and I picked up a 2004 4Runner sport(bought in 2009). We still have the 4Runner. The 4runner has remained pretty stock. It now has 265/70-17 BFG AT, daystar level on stock XREAS and over 200k miles. It has been such an awesome vehicle, I doubt we will ever sell it.

I had dreamed of a black 4 door Tacoma for many years, the time came and I bought my truck. It will remain stock for the most part. Its a 2012.
