My 1st Gen Tacoma has had vibration for the last 6 months. During this time, the wheels have been "balanced" multiple times. I am not asking for help with my particular issue in this thread, but am looking for an complete study on the topic. Perhaps someone could share a previous thread, website, or any thorough article on the topic of vibration coming from wheels (ignoring the many other sources of vibration).

Here are the issues that I have gathered so far from conversations:
    1. Flat spots on tires (from sitting in one spot too long)
    2. Rim out of round
    3. Cupping
    4. Balance
      • Road force balancing
      • Hub-centric vs lug-centric balancing with Haweka style adapter
      • Outside weights, vs inside weights, vs centered weights
      • Balancing the inside and outside of wheel together
      • Re-mounting, aka “Bust & Spin”
      • Balance beads
      • Lead-free weights tend to fall off easily
Are there any factors that I have left out?
Are there any comprehensive books, articles, webpages, or other documents that thoroughly cover this topic?
