This is the post I am referring to. You were saying not to SAVE for college. You didn't mention anything here about salary.

I then said, I disagree, and that one should SAVE. Financial aid looks more at your salary than what is saved.

You get what I am saying yet?

Where does it say I said don’t save. Read my posts. I said to make sure you look poor on paper. Stop spinning things.

    I give up. :frusty:

In the quote you said, which I quoted above, you said bad idea to save.

    You are contradicting yourself.

Let's just move along, this is going nowhere.

College type savings plans....... wtf..... where does it say not to save?

Dude, do you even know what is considered a college type savings plan? You know, a 529? Dude, I’m not about to teach you basics.

You’re laughing cause you are clueless. Maybe you shouldn’t try to put words in other people’s mouths in order to backup your lack of knowledge. It’s ok Jr., you’ll learn....

Guess I won't be averaging down on AOBC... it has shed almost all of its 20% afterhours losses already, only down 2% now. I was too late to that ballgame this morning... but VSTO on the other hand..

So I created a college account, which got funded today, but I haven't bought anything. Was thinking of just doing the spdr sp 500 etf. Now with potential trade wars occuring I'm wondering if I should wait a week to buy to see if other countries retaliate and drive the price lower. Or should I just buy now and be done with it?

Yeah man: trade wars, fed rate hikes, inflation.... its crazy right now. Well since you’ve waited this long, what’s another few weeks. Just keep in mind that the market and many stocks are still near record highs.

I find it absolutely ridiculous how cracked-out the market is when it comes to something as simple as a TWEET. CMON GUYS.

sure wish I had afterhours/premarket trading. Would have made 20% on AOBC in a matter of hours today.

Don’t feel pressured into buying. There is nothing wrong with sitting and waiting. It beats buying too high and getting screwed. I’ve learned in my journey, sometimes the best stock trade is the one you don’t make.

Good on you for creating a college account. You, and your child will be very glad you did.

Be careful with today’s bounce. It is on very low volume on the Dow. As of right now on ~300k volume, versus the average in the past few weeks of 1billion a day.
