Robinhood finally opened up options trading today. Very excited to get into it.

 

up 11% and 10% so far on AOBC and RGR. And it's only been a few days

 

Cohn is out. I guess tomorrow will be a good day to but some ETFs for the college fund... And then forget about it for 15 years

 

mixed response regarding his departure.

 

Yeah market is still trying to figure out what it wants to do. Lots of confusion. That’s why I’ve been sitting on the sidelines.

 

Meh I bought anyways. I've been on the sidelines all my life. Bought VTI and VT. Not as exciting as what you guys are doing, but I figure this is a decent place to park money for 15+ yrs.

 

Between all the ups and downs, I'm sitting at about 2% gain so far. You're not missing much. The firearms companies I put money in are doing all of the heavy lifting.

 

I think I'm going to set up some stop loss triggers on said firearms companies, adjust them as necessary. No telling where they will go between now and their next earnings reports.. no point in being a bagholder if I'm sitting at ~10% on most of them so far

 

AOBC, RGR, VSTO, and OLN. I have watched VSTO for a while, they have been really struggling over the past year or so. Hadn't much watched the others except I knew they shoot up when people panic.

 

Yep, they tend to move a lot of product when the mob-legislation starts happening. A quick visit to your local gun store will tell you how their sales forecast is gonna look.

 

Tomorrow morning’s job report will be friggin huge. If it’s a positive jobs report , the market is gonna tank big time.

If it’s a bad one or meets expectations, the market should skyrocket.

I got my money waiting to play on either scenario!!!

 

Yea the markets are acting crazy lately and backwards of how they should react.

Lately, good economic news, markets go down. Bad economic news, markets move higher.

 

Actually, that’s how they should act.

Good economic news means the fed can increase interest rates faster since the economy can handle it. This causes stocks to be worth less since someone can put their money into a savings account or bonds and earn closer to what you can earn in stocks but without the risk.

 

Wages stalled in the jobs report. Back to a bull market.

 

ergh.. set a stop loss trigger on RGR that was too sensitive and sold my shares. Had to buy back in at a higher price

 

down hard again.... what's going on today?

 

I just bought ROKU the last couple of days too.. hoping I'm near the bottom. Dow/SP500 not helping.

 

lol, that's how I feel too. Sometimes I think I should stick to ETFs

 

Agreed,I did well with tsla buying back in 2010-2011 and that motivated me to research what lithium extraction companies are doing well around 2012-2014 and now I have cash to invest in that but not sure if the timing is good so I’ll hold off for now
