    When I was there back in September we stumbled our way into the NE corner of town looking for White Castle. Didn't take long to realize that maybe that wasn't the best part of town. We stayed in an AirBnB just a bit NW of downtown in the Watkins Park area which didn't seem too terrible but not exactly cleaned up either, they were in the process of installing automatic gates all the way around the apartment complex (I'm pretty sure the whole place was AirBnb).

    I was in murfeesboro right outside of Nashville today and ate at white castle, first time I've ever had it.
    Also looks like they are really building alot of new houses there.

    i think Tennessee is a Red state with low taxes and half decent weather and low cost property where a lot of over taxed Blue welfare state residents are flocking to, I noticed a lot of people in the over taxed Northeast are buying property and building new houses and retire there to escape the ever increasing high taxes.
