Over 90% of experts dont beat the market regardless of what they tell you. On top of that they will charge you more to underperform. That's a losing scenario and why I put the bulk of my money, over $500k into vanguard low cost index funds.

Boeing is not even down very much IMHO. I’d be a buyer but I want it way cheaper than current levels.

I still have a good long term outlook on Boeing. I might lose some more short term, but im still long on them. Actually added to my position today oddly enough

ended up at $372.42 down $1.01 I need to get it cheaper than that its a good possibility that when the lawsuits and bad press start coming down could drop dramatically a lot more. pays a 2.21% dividend right now

If that dividend gets to 4%+ I’ll probably jump in. That’s asking a lot but I can wait.

just think if that stock price drops down $100 a share after all the BS is over that stock jumps back up to almost $400, but that's all speculation no one really knows how its going down im sure there are plenty of slick investors ready to jump all over it if it falls dramatically definetly a solid company and will rebound quickly

Thanks for the feed back- still working through why I think this could be managed better...

To the other responses as well- I am sitting in a blend of ETF's. A Russell IWP, 2 S&P500 funds (SDY & IVW) and a dividend DVY. I think my frustration is that I know I am conservative on risk but seems to me that brokers that I talk to are in the "What would you like to do" Not always considering the tax load as most of this is outside a retirement vehicle or creating a sounding board or proper push back for my logic .

In my short and small venture outside on TD ameritrade puts me up 13% on paper in 3 months...better than dividend output I will get this quarter- the power of individual stocks?luck because I bought on the dip? but I still have that thought this economy is due for some constriction and taxable income considerations as this is outside a retirement vehicle. Am I wrong that it would be good to have a broker that has times to look at the tea leaves better than me... talk retirement planning strategy.. setting some sort of bucket strategy...I dunno sorry about the keyboard mind dump.

I would be happy to lock in a 4% dividend on BA, I’d be content to hold forever. It may take a while, but it will recover, and the dividend will increase as share price does. That 4% could be 10% yield on cost a few years from now.

Another recommendation would be a reputable fee only financial planner. Get good referrals. Fee only planners dont work on commissions.

I wish they would have had financial planning as a course of study when I was in High school those kinds of skills are invaluable when you get older and have to deal with real world monetary issues and aren't prepared most people these days especialy young people don't really know the worth of a hard earned dollar and act as if the money floats in from the sky. how many times ive been to a coffee shop or convenience store with automated change machines and have seen millenials just leave their change behind as if were nothing while they are pecking at a $100 per month phones texting.
