I was doing so well when I was trading $100 in capital. Now that I have more, I can't get gains for shit.

Fuggit, I'm not putting any more money in, except for 1 share of Netflix I'll buy. I'll put most of my money in 401k and high interest savings.

I’ve been sitting in cash. Trading here and there but not really holding long. This market is too wreckless right now.

Yeah man, I actually moved a ton of my money that I had sitting in my trading account to my savings account that gets 1.75% interest, and then bought a few CDs with 2% interest.

It’s too scary right now, and very difficult to make money in the stock market cause drops are plummets and tend to make you freak out and sell. I’m fine with being down when I buy stocks, but the drops are too dramatic.

Yeah that’s the general feeling in the market right now. I’ve been reading a lot of people pulling their money out right now. Not sure if it’s true or not, but after a month of these swings, it’s believable

There’s actually one that give 1.8% ( dollarsavingsdirect), but they seem to be too small for my liking

I just bought SOXX (semi conductor ETF), XLF (financial sector ETF) and KRE (regional banking ETF). Set a trigger to buy around the Feb low, which hit last Friday.

Yeah man, after yesterday’s rally, today has no conviction. It’s just going back and forth between small gains and small losses

See how scary the market is. Yesterday up 650 points, today down 350 points

Way to easy to be caught on the wrong side

Q1 2018 earnings are expected to be up 15%. In the mean time hang in there. The tax cuts have not hit yet....we will know in about a month. Rumor mill has it Buffet is buying into GE.

Tax cuts are temporary, so if earnings are expected to be up 15% with those tax cuts, that means earnings are pretty bad then.

Corporate Tax cuts are permanent, or until the Dems get back in and raise them back up. Personal tax cuts are 5 years, then phase out over 3 more years.

It’s beyond me how you can complain about a 15% gain. A 15% gain year over year is a double in under 5 years.

It’s padding the earnings. If you subtract the tax cut, it means the earnings weren’t THAT good. Com’on man..... and to be honest, that money has to be made up somewhere....

It’s like back in school when there was a curve on a test. You might have gotten a D on the test before the curve, but you get a B+ with the curve. Still means you didn’t do well on the test and don’t know your stuff, but on “paper” you rocked the test.

Unless you guys are day traders and shorting positions crazy, why bother with the noise of the day/week/month? The sun will rise again tomorrow, and next day, and the day after that , and many more days following. Diversity and dollar cost average in MFs.
