I plan to hold onto Ford for the rest of my life so while it’s painful to watch things like this ding the stock (if this does), it really doesn’t matter to me. Buying opportunity.

I have Ford and I have not seen any correlation in recalls and the stock value.

Anyone have a financial podcast that they enjoy listening to. Something that try’s to stay up with market trends and opportunities?

$9.40 if my memory serves me correctly. I started with some in my play account when it was in the high eights that got me thinking this is a good thing for my retirement account.

Good morning. Does anyone have any opinions of Vuzix (VUZI)? I bought this stock near its 52 week high. The last conference call had some promising “forward looking statements”.

Company has like the worst 5-year chart ever, and has never been profitable. I don't know their story, but I hope you didn't bet the farm...

Not the farm but enough that the HUGE decline of the share price stings. But, at least is not CDTI, which very sadly, I own too. It looks like I’ll probably “go down with the ship” on that one.

Sometimes it’s better to get out and salvage what you can. That’s my take at least, you get a tax write-off too.

I’m semi hopeful that VUZI will rebound. I might sell CDTI, if I can make myself do it.

If you do the math it might help. You can write off up to $3,000 per year of losses (and roll bigger losses into future years). If you’re paying about 20% taxes on income, you would recover $600 on a $3,000 loss. It can be worth it.

The day, week, and month charts all look the same for YETI. A line from the top left to the bottom right.

Looking for input- father in law downsizing to a senior apartment and will be selling his property . Expecting to clear 30-35k. Once the dust clears. This will be total sum of his net worth. It would be nice to get this $$ doing something to get some breathing room over SS and delay/avoid principle draws.

Money Market savings- anyone know of a good Bond fund or? 4% a reasonable return?

I’d look at something like SPHD. At his age, you wouldn’t want to go for growth in tech or anything speculative. I think SPHD pays a 4% monthly dividend and is pretty safe as far as principal goes.

Added to my Visa and Mastercard long positions, and took an option position on NKE today as well. Relatively quiet over here
