We are on 2/10 year inversion watch. At one point today the spread was only 5 bp.

Trump is playing the market like a fiddle. I don't know how long he can do that for, but he sure is doing it. Eventually lifting the threatened tariffs won't work, and he will need a trade deal.

Anybody ever been in Credit Score purgatory? I've been at 785 for four months now. The elusive 800 seems so far away

I'm assuming it's the age of my credit (five years).

i'm around the same, mine goes up every now and then because my CC companies keep raising my limits every 6 months.

When I opened my citi card it was 5k limit, not it's around 20k limit. Who the heck has one card for 20k purchases.

    also #subtlebrag ;)

I ask for an increase every time the bank allows it. They make me wait after each one. It's up to $30k now (I ask for $5k increments). I only do it for the credit score bump.

I have given up on understanding credit scores. I have Credit Karma, Capital One, Experian, my bank, etc. Every score is pretty much different, by up to 50 points, so I have no idea what any of it means.

I was at like $1,500 until I started asking. I think it has boosted my score quite a bit, trying to get it as high as possible now.

Here’s where I got this info from, on the Capital One Creditwise app:

So it’s easy to get a request on Citi the 3,000 bump was instant. I have a question though, should I attempt to go higher or no? Does a hit really matter for this?

Look at my post above yours for the different categories and how it impacts your credit score. If they're doing a "hard" pull, that could cancel out the benefit of the increase. Maybe do it slowly if they do hard pulls. My bank does soft pulls for this so I do it all the time.

I just noticed yours is a Costco card, you can buy that 4-wheeler by the door on credit now haha

If you don't have plans to use your credit in the immediate future I wouldn't worry about, go for it. It will come back in a few months.

And in my experience a lot of the times their "reports" are soft and won't even affect your score. If they pull them at all

What is the age of your credit? That may do it, some people in their 80's seem to have almost perfect scores.
