yep. There was a point that my credit was unchanged for months. Then I started doing things "differently" to see if it would help... long story short, it didn't. Now I'm going back to my old tactics..

Well since we're out here comparing things that really don't matter... Lol. All you need to know is that if you are north of 750... You good.

Oh, and I'm under 30 as well

Glad I'm not the only one. I think I'll call the banks and extend my credit line tonight but otherwise I'm just going to ride the train

What do you mean? What type of information are you looking for?

If it's regarding credit score: I always pay my bills on time, I always pay my credit cards off in full every month, my balances are a very low % of the credit limits, a lot of my accounts have been open for quite some time.

    This.

I'd be happy to talk about my allocations, mindset, and strategy. You won't see my posting up any of my numbers on a public forum though.

I think I know what he means. Just in general, day to day life, people never talk about these things. That's actually why I like this thread.

How long does the inversion have to hold to be the reliable recession predictor? I think it's like 2 quarters, inverted the whole time.

Not asking for everyone's financial situation, though I've had people ask me how much I invest, which I lie about.

Though I will give allocation percentages, nothing with numbers though so the amount can never be figured.

I'll talk openly on my credit, which is only 6 years old and I have 792, and exactly how I use my CC and how I pay them, and how I reap the rewards.

The only reason I'll discuss companies I'm in and percentages is so people can see my confidence or mistake in one company.

etc, then I have fellow employees who complain about their financial situation all the time, yet never care to change their spending habits and what not. I'm rambling.

What would a brief (a day or week or so) inversion mean? Nothing? Or just an indication that the inversion is its way soon.

Here is a good chart that you can kind of calculate the time between inversion and recession:

I guess one good thing about this is that everyone has their warning, if they want to get out of stocks, now (or in the near future) would be the time. It's kind of like a hurricane warning on the radar, you have about a week to evacuate, or ride it out, but you have the chance!

I will just be laughing as I get huge discounts on stocks I'd be buying anyway.

    Agreed.

I’m fairly conservative in my approach, and want to preserve capital when the debt markets are unstable and unsustainable with an inverted curve.

Later the Pres will probably come out and suggest the fed lower FFR, or trade talk nonsense in hopes to prop equities back up. Question is, will it work (again).

I need us to race up right at the tail end of August... Followed by a strong pullback. I'll be positioned very well at that point

No way I'd get that lucky though.
