    Well, today got me back to even for the year. But with 2 months of dividends, I should be up at least 1% so really I'm down 1% in my mind. The fact that I was up 3% just over a week ago was unsustainable and I knew it would fall back a bit. It fell back more than I expected, but I'm in it for the long haul so no reason to change anything.

    It would be cool anyway! I went full liquid on Jan 2 capturing gains. I figured that I would have some losing positions that I could sell off this year to offset that tax burden. Jumped back in that same day with about 40% of my portfolio, and lied in wait with the other 60ish% until Friday when I finally jumped back in.

    My time horizon is still 30ish years, and I'm spread out well so I'm not worried if something weird happens. I did admittedly hold back just a little bit of cash in case we get more of a dive, but I had seen everything I needed to pull the trigger.

    options are fuckin scary to me. Then again, I always play super close to expiration ones and they just expire. But they're also super cheap so less to lose..

    Just did my taxes here recently... the amount of money that I moved last year by way of trading options... terrifying. Of course you only see a fraction of that in returns though. Once you learn it though they're not bad at all. I'm starting to taper away from them though only because I can't commit the same amount of time to the research as I used to.
