It is crazy, two weeks ago, today would be the worst day I ever had (in about 2 years of investing). It's pretty normal now, maybe not even in the top 3 worst days in the last 2 weeks.

I would expect tomorrow for it to bounce up as it’s done the last couple of days. But it could just tank tomorrow again. At this point it’s just a guessing game

A few tank days like this and it's 2008 all over again. It wouldn't take too many.

If the media doesn’t stop shoving this damn Covid-19 crap down their viewers throats, we will likely tank. My guessing is that investors are going in and out as the news keeps coming out. If we get a couple bad news reportings we might as kiss this all good bye lol. On the plus side if it tanks we can buy cheap and :fingerscrossed:

I don't really see any fundamentals capable of taking the market into any major correction. There's no credit crisis, mortgage crisis, banks failing. This seems to be fear driven. Maybe capable of causing a 20% correction, but not a 50% correction. I just have no idea though, these 4% days are fine if they're followed by 4% up days. Hope the up days don't stop!

    Exactly.

This is going to pass. I don't think the markets will tolerate this irrational trading for much longer.

This is my observation as well. 4%^ and then 4% down on a daily basis won’t continue so we’ll either get more sell off or more buying, at this point it’s anyone guess where they go

Yeah, this up and down thing is a little annoying. I'm still up about a 1/2% so far this year so it's not killing me yet. Hopefully it stabilizes soon, but with the virus coverage making it sound like the end of the world, we're probably gonna keep bouncing for a while. The end of the month which is quarter end could be a bigger issue if people have to get out of stuff to solidify their positions.

I think so too, but I just can't wrap my head around, why? What are those computers doing? How does that benefit anyone?!

If the past week is any indication, up 4% tomorrow would be my guess. But since everyone's guessing that.. it'll probably do the other thing.
I'm holding all my inverse ETF products overnight, pray for me.

I was looking at what the market did in 2008/2009, there were some weeks where the market would drop 30%, go up 20%, drop another 12%, go up 20%, just absolutely bonkers shit. We aren't quite seeing that level of volatility right now.

Wearing my respirator to work tomorrow. People just got back from NYC, others flying to LA, and one person in the office isn't fucking going home and working from home even though they are having coughing fits. First case in TN was reported today. I don't give a shit if people think I'm crazy.

My 80+ year old grandmother was just admitted to the hospital for unrelated reasons, but I would like to visit her and would rather not risk her well-being even further..

Everyone I know is fine, the one that lived closest to the affected area was thankfully on his honeymoon this week, he got very lucky. I volunteered last night and the areas I saw weren't terrible (I lived through the 4/27 F4 Tuscaloosa tornado so.. I've seen way worse).. looked like an F2 and barely F3 in some spots. Cookeville, Hermitage, Mt. Juliet are in far worse shape (F4 by the time it hit there), so there's no shortage of volunteer work to do. One of my dad's old coworkers lost 3 family members in Cookeville.

If you get the coronavirus, please report back and let us know if it's worthy of this stock market madness.

Hopefully you guys can recover quickly as a community. These types of things are more worrisome than some damn Flu if you ask me. Question i’ve never been up to nashville although i lived in columbia SC for 2 years, how’s it like up there?
