I don’t care about share price, as long as dividends are covered. With that said, do you see CVX and XOM at risk? I don’t really, but like to get other points of view.

I looked at them at I don't see any problems with the giant oil companies getting through this. They are just going to have to cut cost quick

They should have price hedges in place for a good percentage of expected future production.

That info is in the SEC filings if anyone is really interested.

I might buy some tomorrow. You could double your money in 6 to 9 months and get a nice dividend on top of it

Where in MS are you located?

Also, saving up for a down payment on a house in the next 12 to 18 months. Where could I drop roughly 20k to 30k between now and then other than a high yield savings?

    Jackson area

Bring it to Jackson I will hold it for you.
Really, right now there isn't a good place to put it. My whole portfolio is cash right now waiting for the market to find a bottom to buy stocks

I got burned by oil so many times I have zero sympathy. Hell my Weatherford stock basically went to zero on me in the "greatest economy in world history". So thank you Weatherford for your piss poor management, I'll be getting a tax writeoff to offset the gains from the actual well managed companies that made me money in 2019.

Might have already, dead cat bounce tomorrow. Read back through this thread about Robinhood, not sure you want to use that platform.

    Did someone say tax stimulus?

And I would also avoid Robin hood. Even Chase offers free trades now! Much better IT department too...

I'm gonna get crushed tomorrow. All the money I made last week and then some.

futs up nearly 3%, oil up 9%, natgas down 2%. Literally backwards from all of my positions. I'm gonna just have to step away for a while lol

You might still be able to get a cd with a good rate like 2.5% probably not for long. I know it's not as exciting as stocks where itll go up 15% in a year. If it's money you need in the short term you might end up with alot less if you put it into something riskier.

^ This. I just put some money in an 18 month CD to lock in 2 %. This sentence makes me sad.

I like using American Express savings and CDs. A+ customer service.
