It might be bezos who figures it out this time. A pandemic resistant method of distribution of goods while mitigating spread.

Can you take a little out, maybe sell some stocks that are still up? I don’t think anybody who sold at a time like this didn’t regret it a few short years later (or months when people realize how ridiculous this is).

Yiiiipppeee! Down $32K today but it could have been worse. I think I'm down 15% since the peak so it's not as bad as the markets, but it's still painful knowing it's retirement money. I'm not touching anything so it will go back up eventually.

    Yep, it's only paper losses.

I've still got waaaay more than what I've physically contributed to my retirement fund.

I won't lie, it does suck seeing ever gragh showing a steep slope down.

I’m not sure I’d call days like tomorrow (based on current futures) dead cat bounces. They’re more like, if they don’t happen in between the other days, the market would be at zero in a few weeks.

Yea I’d think so too but the stock still down 38%. This is pure panic, sell everything. Nothing happening is logical.

McDonald’s is closing seating inside all restaurants, probably just drive-thru and delivery. I wonder if it would be worth it to deliver food for a while, to buy more MCD stock.

Typical layoffs give 3 months severance, if your wife is at risk. Also they trigger qualification for unemployment benefits. A layoff really sucks but it doesn't always trigger cash out at the low end. You'll likely look back and realize you would have been fine without cashing out and kick yourself for losing out on the upswing.

My company hasn't announced layoffs yet, our plant is still doing decent (repair side isn't doing great, but that's not a surprise to anyone). Our OEM side has slowed down mostly only due to employee availability taking time out, but we're still seeing a lot of the workforce show up, and we have the work. But I work for a multi billion dollar company, other sectors spread the pain and out rinky dink plant can get hit hard if other sectors aren't doing good. We have a 200 person operation, other plants have 2k people. Last time layoffs happened in our company they basically said 10 people per plant. That 1% of the 1k employee plant, but 5% of our plant, so we got hit hard, and I got hired in the recovery side of that. But we'll likely see MULA/VULA or retirement contribution freezes and not layoffs.
