I would never expect to move to some nice country like Australia, stay there illegally, and then be given money by their government. I would expect to be kicked out. I don’t understand why people think that should be accepted in America. I’m not saying you, just the things I hear all the time.

Personally, I think a guest worker program with controlled access, to include medical screening, that allowed for accountability and taxation on their income is a far better idea. Certain industries can only survive on migrant workers, but uncontrolled access to the US is a very bad idea.

 

Did you miss the UI benefit extension until Jan 2021. I still can't decide which one pisses me off more. Maybe we should go full retard and give UI benefits to illegal immigrants that work for cash?

 

I can kind of agree there, but at the same time we do have a means for becoming a legal tax paying citizen.

We do, but I don’t know the process, maybe it’s not worth it for the pay they get for the jobs they are willing to do.

And everyone stop with taxpayers footing the bill. This is made up bs money. We foot the bill more for those people that have more children that get written off the taxes. If I have no kids and you have 3, you’d get 1200 a kid if that next stimulus goes through. And you just got 500 a kid. And you get deductions and tax credits for those same children. So you aren’t footing the tax bill, everyone else is. And that happens every single year. So when I say a 1 time stimulus payment to immigrants is no big deal to me, I think it’s clearly pretty irrelevant in the big picture

Im not trying to stir anything up, I’m just saying if there are 1000 things going on in the world to care about, a few dollars to illegal immigrants is very close to the last thing on my list.

 

We the taxpayers pay into the system, they don't.

Fair enough. How you think they are getting money to these people? How do they find them? How do they know about them? I’ll answer since you already know. THEY PAY TAXES. The stimulus plan specifies the payments would be for tax paying immigrants

People that passed years ago got stimulus checks.. so I wouldn’t be surprised if someone with an expired work visa got a check too
