It's on RH. I will wait.. no sense in trying to sell it now. Probably will have decayed too much by EOD even if it hits $60 again

Yeah it's probably going to be quite the day... Was planning on some buying anyway so I'll take a down day. Might be noon before I push the button though. Gotta see what we're really dealing with.

HUYA and IQ are in the same boat, all running very similarly. I’m enjoying these sit back and relax type of runs - who knows where they’ll end up.

I'm back into SMRT at 2.87, it seems to be holding the line around 2.75 and bouncing between there and 3.00, I don't think the price movements will be as jarring, and the volume is very low

I am thinking Tesla is the next Enron. I think you can get in and out and make money off of it, but I would not trust this one for the long-term.

Lol dude. Having worked in public accounting I can tell you that massive frauds like that are actually going to be much rarer since the late 90s/ early 2000s. The regulations in place now aren’t necessarily going to catch them, but I think they scare companies into compliance.

However, small frauds that sneak past auditors are pretty common I would think. Auditors are worked too hard to care about catching more. Catching any kind of fraud is like another 8 hours of documentation. At 2 am after working 16 hours straight, you aren’t gonna fully investigate that line item that is just kind of funny because it’s probably nothing or just the company’s accountants being stupid.

While investors rely on auditors reports for assurance, keep in mind that you are relying on the auditors whose average age in the US is 24. So a coffee fueled millennial is checking the numbers at midnight after working 100 hours in a week at their first job since college. Always funny to me!

my wife's a CPA, she tells me stories about the kind of stuff some businesses try and sneak past the IRS when they hand over their books to her firm for tax season.

Lol that’s different. Tax CPAs are wizards.

Their job is literally to figure out how to make a person or company pay the least amount. It’s awesome and legal. And it’s easy to start your own business doing taxes. Nobody wants a single auditor business.

Auditors dont have an end product... like woo a company we have no stake in got to file their 10k... and they paid the firm for it not me... so where is the excitement? Oh yeah, I get to go home now.

I just think the entire company is a fraud. I don’t mean in the same way Enron was, I just think they’ll be out of business in 10 years. The guy running it is a loon.

TSLA will hang on because of their batteries. People look at it as a car company but it isn’t. Their cars are not profitable. They make the best batteries in the history of earth though and that will become more and more valuable as the shift from coal become more prevalent.

Coal is essentially a battery. Energy waiting to be activated by burning. The problem with solar and all other renewables is that they don’t sit idle. So we need crazy batteries to hold that energy if they are ever going to be a really feasible change to coal.

The fact that the roadster can go 600 miles on a charge is absurd. That’s incredible technological progress when Toyota’s Rav 4 battery only allows it to go 90 miles

Not liking the leader doesn’t mean it’s a fraud. If it was, TSLA would show more of a profit lol. Also they routinely do demonstrations showing that their product is real and does what they say it does.

I personally am an Elon fan. Guy does cool shit and I see many ways his multiple companies tech can change everyday life in the next decade.

Even if Tesla shits the bed, their electric cars proved that electric cars are feasible and can be badass.

And if you watched the spaceX falcon heavy launch and didn’t have an incredible feeling of “holy shit humans created this” when those rockets landed back standing up to be reused, then I’m sorry man.

TSLA is flying because they’re cutting immediate costs and attempting to put a profit on the books by the end of the year. I’m an Elon fan.

Anyone else in IQ or HUYA? Great fundamentals - these runs are insane.

And public auditors can add a little value to companies! I finished a project yesterday which put an additional $400,000 in my clients pocket.
