Don't be sorry. You've had some really good non-mod related info in this thread. And as the mod that's actively monitoring it to keep up with the COC you've been pretty spot on when you've stepped in.

 

I’ll throw a stock question out there. I’m still holding 2 mREITs, and I almost know they will cut their dividends (both yielding about 20%, they are ARI and CIM). Do I sell now and take about a $3k loss? Or hold on and hope for a miracle? I’ve already unloaded stupid risky stuff for big losses this year, these are the last 2 keeping me from having a true SWAN portfolio!

 

This far in I’d wait until they cut the dividend. I’m holding ARI to see what happens. Even if they cut I think they’ll recover further than they are now you can salvage losses. Honestly, with the yield they normally have, this is the risk. But the circumstances are also unprecedented. I expect the dividend to return, and I’m ok buying more and keeping a couple riskier high dividend reits in my portfolio. Considering the same with my ladr position. It’s still trading at around 8 and the announced .20 div. I might buy more and see where it goes. If they survive and pay the .20 the next 2 quarters, that’s a great yield buying in now. Then if they raise the dividend back it’s all good. If they cut it, I’ll try to bail when the price recovers enough.

 

I’ll probably do that. I sold NRZ and LADR when they cut. Also sold ARCC and MAIN but not at big losses. I have all Blue Chips except those 2 mREITs, so maybe I’m just too eager to clean up.

 

I held my NRZ and I have been adding...With all the DRIPS at $16-17 I've still got my share price average cost down to $10.90...I had a buy in today for more @$7.25 but it didn't hit which is a good sign...

I understand the cleaning up. This has showed the stocks that can and will maintain dividend when there was a built in excuse to cut. I’ve reinvested in many of those. These other ones, I’ll keep 2 or 3 and see how they shake out.
