I hoping it's like a forest fire in an old growth forest...It rages through burning up all the brush (easily susceptible) and then moves on...the healthy trees remain for the most part with just a little bark char..and if there's a second flare up there's not as much fuel for the fire. Maybe the first round hit a lot of the easily susceptible and now we know not to pack the sick elderly in with the healthy...(NY I'm looking at you). I don't think we'll royally screw it up the next round...

YUP. If it hits 3 I might dump.

    I agree :D I might bail at 20 we'll see.

Yeah that's the nice part about RI. 5 minutes outside of Providence is Massachusetts/CT, so you don't have this wide variety that's so out of touch with each other.

That said -- 10 minutes west of Providence is actually quite country bumpkin'. It's pretty cool, 10 minutes outside of Boston is still Boston.

    :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

But maybe houses in ATX will finally be affordable :p

It might be a pump and dump, as said I'll consider out at 3/share. They've filed for BK protection and are selling a bunch of stuff, BUUUT they haven't filed BK yet I don't think. I think that's the thing, people are thinking there's hope they recover. I might bail at $3 with my donuts.

Have a few times now in RI. The place up the road at lunch today is open without needing reservations so that's cool, we're going for lunch today. WOO!

well I can only go by the official reported numbers fake, fudged or not. The article you link talks about projections/estimates but doesnt really go over the data we have in hand.
As another user mentioned, its like Concealed carry, youre more than welcome to protect yourself by any means necessary in most of the country.
I wear a mask as part of my EDC now, it is what it is.

to get the thread on back on topic

I have a bunch of puts for september october november expiry. Fully expecting another set of rolling lockdowns in outbreak cities.
right now i have tons of calls for july aug expiry, I think we are going to the moon for the short term.

The fact that protests of thousands are practically encouraged while so many businesses are still not allowed to open is incredible to me.

You know it won't work in the opposite direction! If there isn't a flare up, I don't think they'll acknowledge that means the presence in the community is much lower and loosen restrictions.

yea I just assumed parks were open, went to the park with my kids and everything taped up with no play signs.

wtf so we can protest by the thousands but we cant use swings?

If thousands wanted to use the swings they couldn't stop you. That's the difference.

But yeah wife and I like ATX, unfortunately, there's a lot of other affordable places in TX. Maybe SA, but we'll probably rent a place in ATX for the first move and then start exploring elsewhere, maybe even AZ too.

I wonder if they'll still arrest the barber for letting too many people into his barbershop, while they watch others burn down police stations? I can't believe I just typed that...

I stay home mostly (though alternating between home and rural cabin/lake place) - but that's not very different from previous. While not worried, I am cautious since I'm over 50 and have a bit of asthma, though mostly exercise induced. I had pneumonia in my 20's and that is a three weeks I do NOT want to repeat.

Georgia has seemed to be relatively sane in how things have been handled. We're largely open, though with distancing and other restrictions. Allows folks to use their own judgement as to what works for them. Most folks I'm seeing seem to be respecting other folks space; even in a place like Harbor Freight yesterday half the folks had masks on and everyone was courteous about the extended personal space.

I recently noticed our state Dept Pub Health status page allows seeing individual county case graphs. It's fascinating to see how different various counties are - particularly the differences between metro Atlanta area and rural agricultural areas. https://dph.georgia.gov/covid-19-daily-status-report

yea i dont feel like dealing with some karen calling the cops on me.

Plus my kids are pretty young and im trying to enforce rules, would be hard to enforce rules, when Im breaking them myself (as much as i wanted to cut down all the tape).

Protesters. All of them, regardless of what you're protesting, get out of the street. Even if I agree with your sentiment, still annoying. Maybe that's their goal though.
