Look at ABBV, MO, AVGO, ENB, FRT, PFE, O, and VZ. That’s the rest of my safe 4%+ current yielders.

mr esoteric explained the stop limits and trailing stops. But I was the one for the sub 5 thing. Td ameritrade waits until the transfer clears before you can play around with stocks under 5 bucks. Stocks above 5 you can buy before the funds clear. It’s usually fine.

what he said. Yeah I’m definitely setting stops in the future.

I don’t have AVGO or VZ yet. I picked up FRT recently, probably on your recommendation. That’s a good list

Yep. If you want to gamble a bit more you can also set an OCO(one cancels other) order. It basically creates a stop order and a limit sell order on one ticket. You set your accepted loss target and accepted profit target. Let's use that $10 ABC stock again.

You are willing to lose 10%. The stock is trading extremely heavy volume and is getting big swings. You think it's gonna touch $15 for a 50% profit. You buy 100 shares. Right after you open an OCO ticket. You set the stop price at $9. You set an upper limit price of $15. It can trade anywhere in between those two numbers without sending the ticket for execution. Once it hits the upper or lower sell price it's executed. Very handy for stocks your willing to gamble on.

I’d guess that the S&P will run up to about 6k over the next decade before the next 50% crash. I think a new bull market has started. I hope I’m wrong, I like to buy cheap.

yeah that’s what I need to learn how to set up on td. I’ll probably spend some time with that sort of stuff before I get into options.

I think WFH and sending the kids home to school means everyone sold a shit load more computers and tech and tech is strong as hell right now while manufacturing and service took a hit but are clawing their way back, and the markets are reflecting that right now.

Nope. Can't peak until June 19th. That's when my NVDA and BABA options expire. Until then the NASDAQ must go up. And up. And up. lol

Oh, to add to my prediction, there will be plenty of 5-10% dips (a few a year), and a few 20% dips, on the way to 6k. Then the big reset.

^ In 30 years, with average historically returns (1926-2018 average is about 10% return) the S&P would be at about 52k. If you sell it all you’ll miss out on a lot.

I buy after the 50% dip you promised of course :fingerscrossed: This will vastly increase my holdings. Then I’ll track you down and find when the next big dip with hit. I think this will work

I’ll save you some time from having to track me down, it’s about every 10 years.

Seems to risky not knowing for sure. I think I’ll just keep doing what I’m doing. Hold it all and keep adding to it, and try to throw extra in when the big dip opportunity’s hit.

was more for things like NRGU (if it goes sub-5 again) with my "play money" since vanguard doesnt deal in those anymore. I don't intend on touching HTZ (again) unless it's below $1 and even then not throw much at it. and the not having a trailing stop option is annoying in the "play money" account, i'm limited to limit orders.

    Geronimo boys.

MRO holding on to and riding it out. Nrgu will stop loss at 5 in at 4.55 and will get back in lower.
