MRO just went green for today. I'm still red but today is green. So that's good I guess.

The Terminator invested in GNUS and it shot up about 10% today.

The problem with LNG currently is availability. The US is actually at the head of the game in this area (for a change). TOTE and Crowley are both running LNG ships, but they're on a set run between Florida and Puerto Rico. There have been some teething pains, but it looks like they're figuring it out. TOTE is currently converting their Alaska ships (Tacoma to Anchorage) to run on LNG. It's not a small undertaking and they're losing cargo space. I also know that there was a bit of an "Oh Shit" moment when LNG prices started going up a couple years ago. The fuel is significantly cheaper, but the machinery is more expensive. Pasha is the next US company dipping their toe in, with two containerships being built for west coast to Hawaii service.

The biggest issue that they run into is fuel availability. It takes a lot of gas to fill up these ships. TOTE and Crowley are currently taking on fuel by truck via a special skid that allows multiple trucks to discharge at the same time. I know that the TOTE ships have to take on fuel for the entire time that they're in port and they still don't usually fill up. I also know that Pasha has similar plans. I believe that TOTE is looking at a tank farm for filling the Alaska ships.

Also, the ships running LNG still require diesel. There is a small amount of diesel that is injected with the LNG in order to aid the start of combustion. Some designs also require what is essentially a spark plug.

Another interesting note... TOTE, Crowley and Pasha are all privately held companies.

Looking GREEN and steady right now....VXX DOWN $5 from the open...
that's one deceptive thing to watch out for in the market...the % change for the day is based on the previous close and not the open...So a stock closes friday at $38, goes to $43 after hours, opens at $43 and then slowly fades to $38.50...if you bought at the bell you're down $4.50 ...but if you held from friday you're up $0.50 and happy...and the stock is GREEN for the day...

I bought some Ford calls for July 17th $7 in the am for 27 cents and sold for 37 cents a bit ago. 37 percent profit not bad for half a day.

I snagged 100 shares at $3.90, bringing my average down to $6.04. Better than the $8whatever it was before.

I was looking at $GUSH vs. NRGU and decided to stick with NRGU. From my limited research it looked like they pretty much tracked together, but NRGU holds the actual oil companies and it looked like $GUSH was made up of funds.
There does look like a lot of upside if it goes back up to 1600.

I just got in on NRGU this morning at around 3.90, ready for it to hit 30 now.

got in at a good point. I am in at 4.55 or so.

I think gush could be a winner that’s why I said if I had 120 to play with I’d go for 3 shares. But I don’t. So I won’t. I think nrgu is a safer bet, because gush could just go kaput and has been on a steady decline beyond the COVID crap.

OK. Who's gonna complain about the fed buying individual corporate bonds? I'm still a little amazed they pulled that rabbit out of the hat.

    Thoughts?

I won’t complain exactly. Maybe I will, normally I would. Strange circumstances though, and they have shown they are going to heavily invest in stabilizing the economy and markets. So if that’s the plan, I guess I’ll say bravo for really going for it. Maybe I’ll save my complaining for tomorrow or at the end of this covid situation when all the chips are on the table.

I wouldn't be surprised if they have been buyin up stocks for quite a while now. Don't think it's right by any means but not surprised they made the move

Not exactly what’s going on. Buying debt isn’t buying stock.
