If it hits $40 and if NCLH does well, I’m switching my plan of paying off my new dirt bike to paying off my rental property lmao

That’s my point, when it hits 20 it’s gonna look really real. And knowing it could drop fast anytime, it will be tough to hold for 40. I’ll be watching though. Someone in here promised a nice bottle of something if it gets there.

I get that. I would probably be the same way if my monopoly ever pays off. Makes sense though. That's why I'm considering pulling/letting profits ride, even though it's monopoly, it still is real money unlike actually playing a stock game. The important thing though is that if for some reason this account does go belly up and disappears, that's okay (not good). Retirement and boring investing come first and those are my conservative accounts where I don't think "Screw it let's buy some HTZ"

edit: NRGU I'm in at 4.55. Right now it's 5.18. Advice from those smarter than me: I just set a trailing stop $.50, is that a reasonable amount? More? Less?

Careful with that close of a stop -- a wild swing at open could drop you out and leave you gapped (unable to buy back in as low as you exited).

I got that as a free stock from RH when I signed up :p I could give it a whirl. That could be a fun bet with friends. You get 30$, invest it in BK companies, whoever wins buys lunch or whatever.

I would buy back in at or lower, and I would be watching the market and know if it were to happen. The way I see it with NRGU, 0.50 isn't a close to open swing I'd expect to see, but I could be wrong - that's why I chose 0.50.

Okay. Just that I've sometimes seen that wide a swing at open in recent days, but maybe I'm reading things wrong. Have at it.

Powell better be well coached today. If he puts on a good show this could easily get up 5%. Retail looks great and a short squeeze is already in the works. Let's see what the day brings.

Ah. Gotcha. Yeah 2.75 is nothing, might as well not pay it early at that point.
I'll have to take a look. I was going off memory that 0.50 was a "big" swing that wasn't going to just happen overnight, but I could be wrong o_O I'll have to take a look later today. I think today it will be on the upswing so I'm not worried about losing it today.

    :fingerscrossed:

Probably a repeat of 2 weeks ago, green week, but a sell off Friday is my guess for this week. Stable or green, unlike last week's sell off.

I was looking at MRO as a play until I got back at NRGU. MRO is one of the 10 stocks that make up the 3x leveraged stocks that comprise NRGU...So if 1/10th of NRGU is based on a 3x return of MRO...as MRO recovers NRGU recovers 3x the recovery. MRO Was the lowest priced/most beat down of the 10 that made up NRGU so it had the best bang for your buck return...MRO Is probably back to $7.50 today based on Pre-market so a buy at $6.30 was a good return for 4 days..
It's the power of the leverage and why I went so heavy back into NRGU after the dip...BTW NRGU UP 18% pre :)

NICCCCE...VXX is DOWN another $2.30 pre and almost $10 in 4 days...That research I read about buy puts on VXX on bumps might have had some merit...

I'm setting very tight stop loss on everything today. NVDA options are green, BABA option is almost green, VXX options green, WLL up 30% from my cost basis. Time to get ready to cash out. I don't trust Congress to ask the right questions. I'm betting new stimulus is what Powell has to say. We'll see.

I'm feeling greedy on the VXX puts...It's got a lot of time to settle...they're already +20%

I can buy more later when the shit hits the fan. I'm already at a 40% return. I'll set a 10% stop and be happy if it triggers or doesn't. lol

    WEEEEEEEE

Yeah I might bail out of MRO early when it gets green and go elsewhere, and maybe go into NRGU for a bit or just take my donuts.
