Saw that. I looked at the history and it seems like it's taking off now, maybe they got bought up or picked up by a parent production company recently with what's going on in the world? Didn't dig into it.

What made you buy? Just saw it starting to rise? Did you "buy the dip" after it hit 17?

 

It’s just crazy, no economic reason. Just grassroots support from what I’ve seen

 

sounds like a lot of people are about to lose their asses then.

 

I would presently advise riding out dips in NRGU with a nervous exit point of maybe $4.00 down $3.65 for an emergency punch out...Volatility of $0.75 to $1.00 swings in a day...and the bottom out the other day was about $3.90. I'm going to ride out anything that stays above $3.50...and get out at $3.50 if there's a big crash...a slow degradation to $3.50 and I'm adding...It's looking like we could be knocking on $5.75 Thursday and $6.00 by Friday...

I am out of NRGU. I am hoping for a dip to 4.50 to get back in....would add more probably down to 3.50. It really should be swinging around 5 by now it 'feels' so 3.50 is a bit disturbing. Im not super comfy adding at 5 given the volatility, but I am not necessarily opposed to it...just have to hold longer and probably have a stop loss.

 

Id say so. Looks like because of the ownership and audience it got a lot of support. Maybe it’s genuine and the people who bought for that reason aren’t just looking to flip it.

 

I watch the 10 major companies that feed into it and unless they go BK, dips should be fine. I also watch crude and use it as a barometer on what will happen with the oil companies.

 

I was watching it before it hit 2.00 wondering if the riots would impact it.

 

I think at this point I’m riding it. Unless it dips to 4.00 I set a buy at 4 for some more. I think stop loss right now as I was advised this morning and then learned today the hard way (fortunately net loss of like 2 bucks), right now everything is so crazy you can’t really throw stop losses around like I was. Maybe once things stabilize.

 

The company I work for just changed our stock purchase discount from 15%to 5%. 28 years!

and to be fair our retirement match and contributions weren’t touched at all during the pandemic. And they paid for my degree and I could get one more degree. They’ll pay for your first bachelor or masters, if you have one they won’t pay for a second. But they’ll almost always cover an mba if you don’t already have one.

Mine still does the 15% discount but we’ll see how long it lasts. Not a company to hold, so I get my money out PDK every quarterly buy. I max my contribution, so getting effectively a 3% or better overall salary bump (15% x 20% max contribution).
