But I don’t like when my opinions that seem to always be correct, to me, are overruled by the mob. If everyone would just listen to me, we’d all agree.

 

I could see the vaccine thing going like this: 10%+ up day, everything is great, the world has been saved, then over the next few weeks, slow draw down right back to where it was before the vaccine.

 

I could see that for sure. That would be about the same results that the riots caused, oddly enough

 

Yeah it's been kind of a "slow" couple weeks.

Whenever a company announces a successful vaccine or treatment, their shares shoot up anyway, especially this one, chances are people will decide to hold up for some winters until they have a vaccine, so even several years out, we'll see a bump if a vaccine comes out. But, the longer it goes on, I think the less effect it will have. If it gets out tomorrow, that'll be a skyrocket. If it gets announced 3 years from now, it'll be a bump but lesser.

Its not swayed by volume correct? Just the underlying assets?

 

In general I think that is right....just shows how slow and level a day it is for it.

 

Yeah it's just affected by the underlying assets. Today started a little fun but it's been pretty slow since then.

 

Wondering if tomorrow will be a buying day.

 

Yea, I noticed my xom and cvx haven’t done much in the last 3 hours.

I own them and love the dividends though.

 

Exactly, most of the time there’s never a reason to even look at how they are doing. But dropped some of my dkng and it’s time to get those funds invested. So looking at where I should put it. Current yield on those is still tempting, but I think I’d be a little overweight putting more in that sector right now. I added a good amount to enb and a little to xom when they were near bottom in early April.

 

Good point. When NRGU settles I might tag along to XOM for the dividend long term.

 

If XOM stayed flat for my entire lifetime, and I collected a 7% dividend from it, I would consider that an outstanding investment.

 

7%/year is a sturdy investment, that's true. And then you get your principal back if/when you sell, anyway.

edit: oh hey flat today. I call yesterday flat. Up days Monday and Tuesday. My prediction of up moderately or flat is still valid, tomorrow drop off and I’ll be right! I hope I’m wrong though. here’s hoping for an uptick tomorrow.

 

Still got all my shares and multiple call options! Part of me wants to ride it all the way out, the other part is telling me for the love of god just take out the principal and ride the damn gains

 

Thats what I did when it hit 42 today, Was stuck in 38-40 so long, I needed my money invested elsewhere. I left the initial investment in, I’ll probably sell that at 35 or 50, whatever happens first.
