I watched the futures spike super high when it was looking like the republicans were going to take the House and Senate, then drop to almost red when the democrats took the House, then slowly climb up. This shit is crazy, I think it’s just a matter of certainty, it doesn’t matter as much who wins than knowing that it’s over. Today is very green!

looks like the same old story as other tech stocks, lower guidance by SQ caused stock to drop. I'm still ok though. Planning on being long.

I think you’ll be fine. I watched the same thing happen to AAPL, and it started climbing again after a few days. I think SQ beat on earnings, so they’re doing fine.

I'm not sure if we are in a true bear market yet, but the headlines sure do indicate it.

No choice but to hold on, if it takes years to break even that beats selling for a loss. And buy as much as you can, the prices are getting good!

I bought some good dividend stocks today, KO, O, T, looking at XOM. I think I’m going to start a position in some stocks like these for a while. Might as well get dividends if the market is going to suck for a while.

Lol. Just read a Jack Bogle article.

The only thing you need to do during these times is to stop looking at your balances and do nothing. Just stand there.

Well, the 3yr/5yr yield curve has officially inverted. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Isn’t it the 2 and 10 that has predicted recessions?

actually the 10/30 yr is a better indicator. Curious if the 3/5 yr is an indication where the 2/10 and 10/30 are heading.

I think the last part you wrote is yes. It will take longer but I think all curves are all flattening if one is.

starting to think the stock market is rigged against 401k investors. My shares were purchased yesterday and of course look what it does today. Same thing last month. Really annoying the shit out of me.

Also the 2/10 yield curve is about to invert.

    upload_2018-12-4_15-18-34.jpg

We are about 15BP away from a good recession signal.

My employer match just kicked in so I will be reducing my contributions to the bare minimum to get the full match. Going to park my money into a cash position at 2.05% APY.
