If it weren’t for 800 shares of bcrx I wouldnt have enjoyed today. Been waiting 2 weeks for it to finally get to 5.5 range.

Do you traders ever buy at the end of a big red day, and sell the next day when it’s almost always green in this volatility? Then repeat.

I'm a total, total newbie and I also don't have a lot of capital to start with. But (for now), I have a pretty steady job.

I know it's small potatoes, but...What is everyone's thoughts on something like Robinhood?

It will work for getting you started. If you decide to stick with it, you’ll probably want to move to another option at some point.

NRGU leveraging the Big 10 and not WTI directly is why I stepped away from it. I decided trading UCO was a better choice. It directly tracks WTI. WTI goes up it goes up. So far WTI hasn't gone up enough. I keep getting 2% down to 2% up the last 2 days. WTI is now holding $40 and it's turned into support. It's only a matter of time before it breaks $41 and up. I just hope it happens soon. I hate holding shit for more then a day. lol

I was never like this in my trading until the Covid mess. Usually I have enough faith in the market, and my stock picks, to perform over the year without me having to monitor them. It's worked and I averaged a 22% return yearly. With the whole shutting down of the economy and the uncertainty of Covid I don't trust the market to not completely tank. I've been waiting for it to happen for months and it just hasn't. That's not to say it won't though.

When I got my 5 week Covid vacation I started doing the math. 22% over 52 weeks in under .5% a week in returns. I had the time and had the experience so I went for quick in's and quick out's. In the 14 weeks I've been playing the short capital gains game I've blown away that old average weekly return. I'm up an average of 8.6% a week in my IRA and 6.4% a week in my play account. The bonus is I try and stay at least 50% cash so there's no way I can loose a huge chunk if the market tanks. That is the one good thing I will take away from this down the line. Covid will be forgotten but my new trading strategy will not.

I bought NIO at like 3.4.. I put way more than I should have at the time, but right now glad I did. Rather be lucky than good I suppose.

Because I know you all were itching for an update. Dont really see this turning around before expiry, but strangely I think id rather let it expire worthless instead of collecting the ~$8 after fees.

Who knows, maybe Las Vegas enforcing masks will somehow make it run up again...

Honestly once NRGU hits my buy-in price I might just bail then. It's given me a lot of heartache :p

Nice gambke that paid off. I came across it on early May. Bought lowest @3.87 avg ending up being @5.14 . I sold enough to get my original investment back @ 13.00 . (Borrowed some investing strategies from others here). Now im just stiing on all profit from here on.
