Exactly. For some people, $600 is nothing and they can't even pay their bills. For others, it's more than they made, so why go back to work? That whole thing never made any sense to me.

It's almost like it's a regional issue...like a STATE level issue...That $600 in NY, CA, MA is about 1/4 of your monthly housing cost...in WV, AR, OK it's your almost entire monthly rent...

Speaking from personal knowledge of NY and GA - you can have VERY wide differences in cost of housing depending on where in the state you're living. While you do have the urban sprawl of NYC, there's also a substantial portion of the state that's pretty rural and thus far lower real estate / housing prices.

ViacomCBS stock is up big today. I guess taking out the trash is beneficial to a company.

Sold 300 shares of NRGU for 17% profit. I'm still sitting on 470, but I'll see how it looks tomorrow after the usual sell off.

I like VTI as well for the dividend drip...Oh, FUNDS...I thought he was looking stocks...Well the banking funds are still beat down by about 20-30% if you want to take gamble...I did...I put 50% of my 401K in UBVAX @42.16 and it's at $44.48. It's made up of banks that still had not recovered from the covid dip. I'm sure they'll get back in a year and I'll have a 50% gain in 50% of my 401K....

Some of the underlying assets are as much as 50% down since Feb
    [IMG]
This is tempting to do, to get back in after a dip but I would have to book some losses. Thanks for helping the rest of us out. You know it's going to gap to $4.50 overnight :) You could have set a trailing stop just in case it doesn't drop..or were you worried about after hours and it opening down 5-8% tomorrow?

The rest of my shares are at $4.25, so I’ve got a ways to go. If I can keep turning over 300 shares in the $3-4 range, I can make up my losses, get completely out, and start over. That’s my plan, anyway. Again, based on absolutely no factual information.

There should be ZERO requirements to be FORCED take a vaccine PERIOD.
Me and a couple of friends were talking the other day. One was picking at the other saying that they were going to make it mandatory that you take the vaccine when it comes out. And that you'll be given a card to prove it. And if you don't have the card that you won't be allowed entrance into work or any business establishment. So no groceries, gas or toilet paper. I told him that's not going to happen. I told him what they're really going to do is put a micro chip in the vaccine. The micro chip will replace your SS card, debit card, id etc. You'll just wave your wrist over a scanner at checkout time and off you go. Get carded and pay for your beer at the same time!
So if you refuse to take the vaccine. No job and no stuff. You get the idea.

To bad neither one of us may not be too far from the truth.

Not going anywhere soon, but people are expecting a correction soon. I was looking at FSCSX as well last month, but decided against it. If there is a correction in the tech industry, I may jump on it then for my Roth IRA.

I concur on being wary -- FSCSX currently hitting all time highs in the midst of a whole lot of uncertainty as to upcoming economic conditions.

Doesn't mean they won't keep going up, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a correction this year.

With current events is anyone changing their longtime IRA portfolio mix ? Mine is set around ...90% etf to 10% equities. While it took a decent nosedive in March, pretty much back to pre-March numbers. Not sure rearanging the pie would be bad or good besides maybe adding more single stocks as funds allow. All Divs are set to reinvest.

    Hmmm...
Quite an odd relationship between BA and DFEN. DFEN is 3x leverage and BA is 15% of the fund and down almost 5% and yet DFEN is only down 3.3%....There are not a lot of green underlying assets...something is fishy

If I might suggest next time sell the 1 month in the money covered calls...You sell the 21Aug20 $2.00 call for $0.70. So that guarantees you get $2.70 total $$ per share if they exercise on 8/21. Your getting an additional $0.40 a share at that sell price. If MVIS goes down to say $1.85 and you were just holding the stock you would lose that $0.50 a share but you've already locked it in with the premium, plus the extra $0.30 a share for the time value...
Now here's the beauty...Let's say on 8/21 the stock is trading at $1.95....your contracts expire, you pocket the $70 per 100 shares and you have the shares at $1.95....Sell another contract for next month...Do this 3x and you now have $2.10 per share in premiums. You own the stock for free now. You never have to worry about share price ever again and can just keep selling contracts until they get exercised.
In order for you to start losing money the stock has to be trading at $1.70 or lower on 8/21 because that's $1.70 + the $0.70 premium...for today's price of $2.40 and if you're worried about that you can flip the profits of the premium and also buy a put....

Any time you are ready to sell to lock in profits and have 100 shares or more, sell a contract.
I just did this for ABT

Thx for putting this together. Never looked at options before, maybe something new to learn.
