I was so close to grabbing a couple shares of Tesla yesterday for a overnight see what happens but was too scared of it going the other way... Regret that one. 3 shares or so of that would have been niiiiice.

 

Are people still afraid to pick up Intel? They are at a great price point and tomorrow might be a good day to pick some up since they are starting to hype up Tiger Lake to be released in the near future.

 

You might be right. Doesn’t really fit into my strategy, but definitely worth people giving a look at

 

if CSCO is still up tomorrow I might pull half, I don't want all my eggs in one basket of tech, even though it is monopoly. I could be convinced.

 

IMO I don’t see much happening with them until quantum computing becomes widespread. Something about a limit of resistors you can fit on a chip and some other nerd stuff

but I'm trying to figure out options trading and so I followed your lead as an experiment so....

I believe they release earnings at midnight tonight...
So one thing you can do is pay close attention to after hours drops...If it (Pleeease) drops to like $32 after hours you want to Sell to close your contracts With a stop loss at the open...so if the shares keep dropping your contracts keep going up in value. If the shares start getting bought up at a discount your puts will close and you lock in profits...

I didn't have the balls to buy the 8/14 puts...I need a chance that if things go sideways the stock can drop in a week...

what's your trading platform? It's a trailing stop loss...basically on a Put you might say once it hits $2.00 you want to set a $0.20 trailing stop....So as it rises...$2.20....$2.50....$2.80 it sets a NEW sell price @ $0.20 below the raising price...So if suddenly the prices start dropping back down $2.75.....$2.70....$2.68.....$2.65....$2.60 SELL.....@0.20 below it's peak price of $2.80. If you had set a standard limit sell order at a target price of $2.20 when it was at $2.00 you would miss out on all the extra $$ as it rises and protects you from a fall...

I get the trailing stop loss part. So you're referencing the price of the options then? I got mine for 1.34 but I got 4 which I now realize means $536
So I have a $24 unrealized profit right now and it looks like derivatives don't trade after hours?

Hahah yea i knew iso was its own thing. That was part of my point was my company voluntarily keeps itself in check better than most industries with people breathing down their necks about anything and everything. Thanks for the info anyways! Learned stuff
