The big blue ones on public corners. I have seen articles online lately acting like they’re suddenly removing them to stifle mail-in voting. In reality, they have been phasing them out for over 20 years. Just pointing out the hypocrisy.

we have a random one that is not near any homes and along a fairly busy street with no street parking. to use it, one would have to either stop in a live lane of the road or park 3 blocks down and walk back to it. makes no sense.

They should probably just about all be removed, pretty useless these days. Leave a few in densely populated areas.

They can usually be found outside of the post office.

I know. I can’t elaborate on what I’m talking about because it would be way too political. Probably shouldn’t have even brought it up.

Correct, when I worked for the USPS several years ago they were telling me to expect them to be gone the end of the year (2017 ish) because of the man hours required to collect those boxes vs the amount of mail received.

I've noticed the boxes slowly going away for the past 3 decades.

I guess I saw it in this thread about the postal service going to electric delivery vehicles. Now that has to be about the most practical use for an EV that has been thought of.

Unfortunately right now we’re at roughly an ATH during a pandemic. I have a feeling we’re going to have a draw back, not as bad as March, in the near future. So I’m sort of waiting until then instead for monopoly stuff.

I was about to say preposterous but then remembered, I’m in a densely populated area. Oops.

take them out of random spots. We have one outside a dentist office and one outside on the street outside a rite aid. Okay then. Make them bigger and put them where people go. Supermarkets, pharmacies, gas stations, etc so that there is access during normal day to day life, without random blue boxes everywhere.

The irony of the whole postal "scandal" is that the House is getting called back into session because of it. They wouldn't stay in session to continue to work on further relief packages. Talk about fucked up priorities.

One “scandal” after another, yet, nothing has come of any of them. It gets very tiring, wish they’d just give it a rest.

    Yep, haven’t seen one.

I’m not opposed to the argument, but I speculate how the retroactive action could play to either side.

I don't think people understand that you cannot expect a system that is designed to function with a set volume of throughput to suddenly handle 20x the volume and then return to normal...Secondly with no "testing" of the system prior who could possibly expect everything to go "just fine" no matter how much money you throw at it. I think of it like an evacuation for a disaster...fire..flood...hurricane...The highway has been around for decades and working fine...but the second you send every car down it at once it fails miserably...you don't build a 20 lane highway...that's not a realistic solution...
OH MY GOD who is going to harvest their summer crops? That's what the break is for...so they can go home and see to the harvesting of their crops and not be stuck in the "overheated halls of Washington...at each others throats" They seem to have forgotten that their jobs were part time and only temporary...not "for life until someone finally decides to retire" https://constitutioncenter.org/blog/why-does-congress-take-a-month-long-vacation-in-august

This is the basis on which most of the Tempests-in-Teacups have been founded in recent years.

Thanks for following along. They're at an ATH pre-market. Let's see if it holds.

They also upped EPS from $1.77 to $1.97. I hate revised earnings estimates. I still think they will beat but holding all my options till Wednesday is going to take a lot of mental toughness. Not cashing out on 150% profit is hard damn it.
