I have this feeling that if I don’t add more T they’ll increase the dividend. If I buy more, they’ll cut it. And I just made my first ABBV purchase after getting your brilliant thoughts on it

You have to be patient with ABBV. I have owned it for years. It was down, then up a lot, now up but not as much. I have been getting the dividend the entire time, and it's a dividend aristocrat, so you buy and ignore it.

I know, didn’t even look to see what it’s at since I bought. I like that it’s not up 200% from where it was in January. It will be in my set it and forget it pile of stocks. And I’m going to cave on AAPL and buy enough shares in the next month to give me a round number I think. Waiting on some dividends

Depends on your strategy. But, I think FedEx/UPS will be up bigly after Q3 earnings and then through Q4. A lot of people will send stuff to family rather than visit themselves. Airlines down, FedEx/etc. up.

I think AAPL might be a decent buy now. It was over $500 (maybe close to $550), and after the split, it’s like you’re getting it for under $440 now. Or put another way, 22% down from the peak. I may get some soon too.

Edit: It’s also yielding almost a full percentage point below its 5 year average yield, so either it’s still overvalued or its P/E has been rerated. I really don’t know.

You are probably right. Just so far above my avg it hurts to buy. But if it’s not a deal now, it will seem like it was when I look back in 10 years. And they won’t let me go back in time and buy it. I don’t think

I looked at a 5 year chart, and this correction happens every once in a while. This is the third similar in that timeframe. After the last two, it climbed for a long time. Like you said, probably a good deal when you look back in a decade or so.

Time in the market bests timing the market. If you don’t feel up for it for apple then dump it in something like VTI it QQQ if you have something to invest. In theory. But also remember. I’m an idiot.

You bet. I’ve been buying aapl for 5 or 6 years now and never worried about the price. I think it’s double in the last 12 months, took 3 years or so to double when I first bought it. So this years a little different. But generally I agree with you. Although, if you can time the market and have time in the market, even better :D

AAPL also just opened Apple stores in India yesterday. That's going to open up more revenue for them. They might go down a bit more but I loaded up on some OCT calls yesterday. After a 20% plunge I'm sure they will go up a bit before expiry on OCT 16. If your planning a long term hold I'd get them soon.
