On a side note... Do you still think At&t's ancient 3g technology is as fast at Verizon's LTE?

I think you are smarter than that... The fact is, the phone can only be as fast as the network.. 3G is in the past. Not sure why they would release a phone on an outdated network when newer better technology is available. That is my whole point. I will be looking elsewhere for my next phone.

3G is not outdated. It's the current standard (at least in the US). You can go to almost any mildly populated area in the US and get 3G service. 4G just does not have significant coverage. It may work great in some major metropolitan areas but the vast majority of people do not have 4G available to them. It was the same story when apple released the first iPhone. People couldn't believe it wasn't a 3G phone. Seemed to work out just fine for Apple.

I was simply saying that it is just as fast as some of the other 4G phones out there (I wasn't being carrier-specific).

As I have stated before, do I want it to have 4G? Duh! But do I think it's worthless because it isn't? No.

Not to mention, I am on WiFi 98% of the time. I think I only used like 176MB of data last billing cycle.

downloading OS 5 right now. I have had it on my iPad for awhile. Now its going on the iPhone.

 

It's awesome. It's been incredibly stable for me so far. Only problem I had was in the very beginning, but a restore solved it.

yeah i had some issues in like beta 2 but haven't had anything since than on the iPad. So now its time for the iPhone.

 

A rumor I heard of why Apple wasn't going to put 4G in the new iPhone was because the 4G chip was too big for the form factor of the iPhone. They want to wait until the chip was the right size for them. This will most likely be later next year when the next version of the iPhone (most likely called iPhone 5) is released.

Oh, and I'll be preordering the iPhone 4S for me and my wife. We currently both have 3GS's.

 

i have iphone4. and love it. and if i brake it or something. i’ll spent the money and upgrade early in stead of having a refurbished iphone4.

4G LTE is fast as fuck for those who don't think so. It is worth it if you can get it in your area. SD and OC have 4G service all over.
