Turns out my line is eligible for an upgrade...this changes things for me.

I won't be preordering, but I imagine in the next month or two, I will be getting a 4S.

wait what time zone is the preordering going to begin in? i got excited and assumed it was pacific standard since i live here but im not sure...also i found out with the preordering theres no guarantee that you will receive it next friday or even saturday. atleast for sprint

do you know why white iphones have a proximity sensor and whats that for

 

thanks. i just did some searching online and for some reason the white ones have problems with the proximity sensor when you put a good case on it that has protective film over the sensor and you have to cut the film out.

 

interesting, how come only the white one has that issue? damn and thats the color i want

 

I have this issue with my otterbox on my black 4. It just collects pocket lint and sometimes does not work quite right. I don't know the difference between the white and black ones in terms of the sensor performance.

 

im not planning to get an otter case, i dont need something that heavy duty, ill just be getting a rubber one, or a clear plastic one. both of which dont even come down to that sensor, right? like these(minus the weird design on the back..)

Anyone else considering the samsung galaxy s2 as well as an iphone 4s? I'm on the fence between the two still. I may go with teh galaxy just to try Android for a year and switch back with Iphone 5 comes out.

 

You should go to apple.com and watch the 4s video if you have not seen it! On my phone right now so I can't post the video!

 

I have seen it, but what keeps me on the fence is the 4.3" screen on the galaxy.
