My mom got an iphone today and I was trying to show her how it works . My pics don't show up on her phone but I just texted a pic to a friend .

Maybe she has MMS turned off on her phone ?

how about the custom ringtones? i had a bunch before the update and now the custom section is not showing under the ringtone screen. is this apples way of forcing you to buy theirs?

... ^^^ ... Yep, it started a while back about the time I download an Apple software update (actually a couple software updates ago). Can't remember if a firmware update was included at the same time too.

Sounds like there is definitely something on her end causing the pics to not show.

I was on the phone with my grandma tonight trying to help her with her Facebook page...it's just so wrong...

I would recommend doing a restore via iTunes then. It sounds like something got updated and some weird settings got loaded onto it.

Siri has really made me pay attention to my order of operations when taking screensnaps.

 

Before the iOS 5 update, I had "The Red" by Chevelle as my ringtone on my iPhone 4. Then I did the iOS 5 update and it wasn't listed under the ringtones anymore. I thought maybe it had been synced with the whole iCloud thing and I just had to re-synch my iPhone. No dice. I actually had to pay the $.99 and buy it again.

 

Usually when I update, I end up having to manually drag all of my ringtones back on to the phone via itunes. Once they're back on, they automatically go back to where they were originally assigned.
