So when i set a "Reminder" for a certain time and day, it show up in my notification center, but after the alarm time goes by it goes away, even if I haven't checked it done. That seems ridiculous. How do I get the notification center to show all past-due reminders?

I set reminders as a popup alert in the notifications settings. That way I'm forced to acknowledge it.

    Understood, but he's an example.

Let's say I really need to go the bank. I set a reminder for it. I need to put a date and time for the reminder, or else it won't show up in notification center. If the notification pops up a certain time and I can't go to the bank at exactly that time, once I "close" the popup, it removes the reminder from notification center, even though its not checked off. 5 minutes later, I forget I need to go the bank at all.

Got to be a way around that right? What am I doing wrong?

Btw: this example may or may not have happened to me yesterday.

I think for that situation your best bet is to set an alarm and keep snoozing it until you can go to the bank.

And by alarm I mean go to the clock app and set an alarm there.

sigh....it just seems like such an oversight that all past due reminders are not displayed in the notification center.....that's really the point of having it in the first place. To have everything important in one, easy spot.

I don't see a way around it. In the most basic sense, the reminder has done it's job. If you're unable to accomplish the task, checkmark that the first reminder is completed and make another. A follow up reminder could've been programmed in to the extent of a "remind me again in X minutes," but unfortunately that's not the case.

I wish you could set a "due" date, rather than a reminder. I don't even really need a pop up reminder, I just want the notification center to show me all my meetings, and everything I have to accomplish on that day

Yeah, I think the reminder app needs a little work. I understand the calendar events disappearing after they have passed because in the beta this didn't happen and it became annoying that events from three days ago were still in my notification center until I specifically looked at them in the calendar.

But reminders should have more options for alerts. I ran into this when I set a reminder to call someone when I got home. Unfortunately I dock my phone in my car for music so it isn't locked, which means the notification just rotated on the top without me noticing and went into notification center. Wasn't until I happened to look in notification center a couple hours later that I saw it. A repeating alert for reminders until acknowledged would be nice to avoid these situations.

I use the "Tasks" feature in Exchange for this - works great.

I agree that the Reminders app needs some work.
