Otterbox is good, but Lifeproof is better. I literally ran over mine in a F350 box truck and it didn't get a scratch. I think they started shipping the iphone 5 cases a couple weeks ago.

 

Same here ( for now ) , does the ring around the back camera port sit higher than the sides on yours , like it won't lay flat on it's back but rocks on the high point around the camera ?

I see. I just hvae a 4S, so I didn't know. I still suggest getting one. Best investment I've made in a while.

 

I only got the Otterbox while I wait for the Lifeproof to be available in Canadian stores

Ordering from the US kinda sucks for us . I almost ordered the Otterbox from the Otterbox site but they wanted over $50 shipping to send me the $49 case lol

I was able to get the Otterbox up here with free shipping for $69

 

That's stupid (the $50 shippin). After I got my Lifeproof, my girlfriend got one but decided to look at Amazon and saved like $20. I was pretty upset that I idn't look there.

 

Yeah , for me ( construction ) the dustproof / waterproof aspect of the Lifeproof is needed , I've already noticed how easily dust gets between the phone and the screen saver with the Otterbox

I'm just going to make due till they are available online from retailers here , then I get free shipping and only pay about $20 more for the case than in the States

 

The screen saver seems to get fine scratches easily too , maybe because my hands are rarely clean while at work

 

Yea I had a lot of dust in my otterbox. I'm fishing all the time, so I needed waterproof. It's amazing not having to worry about aything. I've dropped it in water, on pavement, gravel, and ran over it.

 

Your pics of fish underwater sold me on the Lifeproof a long time ago but they don't make one for the 3GS and that what I used to have before the 5

 

Awesome. I've talked a lot of my fishing buddies into one. Mainly by freaking them out by "accidetally" dropping it in the water while taking a pic of their fish.
