There is an event there this weekend. This is one of the few open events that is held down there each year. It starts Friday evening and goes thru Monday afternoon. The event fees are usually $55 for the weekend or $25 per day. I would assume it is the same this weekend. Camping is usually an additional $5 per night. I may go for a day, but haven't decided if and when yet. That may depend on the weather. If I go I will probably take my 85' 4Runner. Last year one of my friends took his stock 97' 4Runner.

There should be event information on the club website.

If anyone decides to go and I end up going down there I would be willing to show you around.

I would like to go to that off road event this weekend, but both my roommate and I are trying to get new Tacomas, and I don't think we will be back in time. I'm keeping it in mind though!

I think I might make that off road event. No new truck this weekend. Anybody else want to go too? I'm not sure what day yet but for $25 I would like to check it out.

If I go it will probably be on Sunday. Hopefully it doesn't rain(or much) Saturday or Sunday. Will trailer my 85' 4Runner as I am afraid my 285's on my 2000 4Runner will be rubbing.

I did not go to the event this weekend. Way too wet for me. It would have been a mud pit and I am not into mud. I prefer rocks. Anyone else go?

I saw a few mud covered Jeeps leaving that area, I didn't go, ended up at Rathbun all weekend, weather was pretty good down that way.

I didn't go for the same reasoning as Renaud33.

Renaud33 - It is always cool to see more locals on here. I recognize your name from a few emails we have shared in the past. I remember coming to look at a Tacoma tailgate you had for sale a few years ago. I had the green reg cab with a topper on it. Unfortunately it doesn't look as nice as it once did but it may be a reason to start wheeling it a little bit once I get confirmation from a frame expert.

Since gas prices are so high, I'll get a wagon to deliver them by foot.

If I keep it we might have to talk, if I don't I will be building up the 4Runner with old Taco stuff. Either way we could shoot the breeze over a cold one.

I do remember you coming to look at that tail gate.(about 4 years ago) My Tacoma had frame rust issues so I was forced to get rid of it after 12 years of owning it. Toyota gave 150% of book value, which worked out well for me. I bought a 2000 4Runner Limited for $2,000 less then they gave me for my Tacoma. Maybe you remember seeing my beat up 85' 4Runner in the garage as well? And the other Toyotas sitting around.
