Lol, my luck it would bounce off and hit the neighbors window. I actually got a ladder out and attempted de-icer but damn thing doesn't squirt far enough.

Still no directv at my house either, I'm getting up on the ladder tonight. The Coopers are fucking badass in the snow, I barely spin anywhere.

I'm pretty freaked out about getting on the roof with snow on it. If I could find a squirt gun and load it up with de-icer I'd be back in business. Glad to hear about the Coopers! How is your stopping with them?

Long story but that is close as SIL could get coming home with this storm. FIL said he would come get her and I couldn't let him drive either of his cars in that shit so I said I would drive.

People drive like dumbasses in this weather. My truck felt like there was barely any snow and I was cruising along just fine, but tons of people ended up in the ditch. My tires are amazing, but I think I'm still going with duratracs next. They are supposed to be good as well.

None of the tires are good on ice, which is all it was today. The problem is people make sudden movement, can't keep up with flow of traffic, and are generally stupid.

All very true. Siped tires do pretty well but studs would be the way to go. I was sliding some when braking but all-in-all I had great control of my truck at all times. Some idiot pulled out in front of me when I was going 45 and it was all ice. Luckily no one was in the oncoming lane so I was able to swerve and pass or I would be deciding what bumper I want right now. I flipped him the bird and on I went, preparing for the next idiot.

Yep, idiots. My highway tires did pretty good. I went through drifts up to 24" tall. Nothing really stopped me. My taco was awesome, but I can't control stupid.

^ This! The icy crap was freakin me out. I try to keep a lot if distance between me and the idiots. Funny when you see a car in the ditch, on a straight road. I always think it musta been a sudden move.

I have made the drive back and forth to ny many times. The truck stop is a nice place to stop for a break, but I would spend the night just outside Cleveland. My best time from here to Syracuse is about 16 hours in the summer, but it will be more like 20 or more in the winter. Pm me if u want details .

ok cool. i think i should have a small inclosed/expo style trailer by than, and i was going to take it and sleep in it instead of getting a room every night because that would get expensive very fast. edit: so i was just going to find good truck stops along the way and sleep in the trailer.

i’ll be around buffalo. i’m going up jan 19th to see family and all. our best time ever was on 4th of July one year made it in exactly 10H to the minute. average is about 11.5.(650 or so miles)
