Also saw horses rated at 1000lbs to hold my frame while I build on it yah or nah ? I'll probably use jack stands for the actual truck while I swap everything

If I remember correctly the frame only weighs 450-500lb.

Keeping what from teetering? I would first swap the whole rear axle assembly. Then build the front suspension. Then you have a stable rolling chassis to work on. No saw horses needed.

Would you just lay that thing on the floor and lift when needed? Lol

And I meant teetering from the added weight on either side if it was on stands lol

I would. You can lift one part of the frame by hand pretty easily. Or with a jack.

As stated, get your new frame to a rolling chassis state but before getting that far you have to first decide how high you want to/are able to lift the cab. If you remove the engine you don't have to lift the cab as high but it is a lot more work. If you are doing this outside you could always ask around "small town Iowa" what contractor or farmer has a set of forks that could pick and place your cab for you.

The minimum height of a stand is a consideration as well as max height. I used the stands below in combination with a large pneumatic jack similar to the one below for my frame swap. I found the V notches hold a 4x4 nice for lifting on the rocker pinch weld. It all comes down to what resources you have available and where you are working.
