The Ragged Fails actually do really well for me on ice and the conditions we've had. My initial negative review was because they suck in deep snow where a more aggressive tread would do much better.

I saw a nice 1st Gen Tacoma with a topper abandoned in the median on 2nd Ave just North of I-80 today. I was wondering why he didn't just drive out of it until I saw the Pre-Runner badge on the tailgate. :(

I've been listening to the scanner since the storm started and the amount of accidents is amazing. It's just now slowing down to normal radio traffic.

The 4wd on these trucks is pretty impressive. Even with mediocre tires like the rugged fails, the truck still does really well.

I saw that same truck. I didn't see the prerunner badge. I did however see a guy need a change of shorts in front of me on my way home tonight. Going from 80 east bound to 35 north there is still a lot of ice and it sneaks up on you. A guy towing a tall trailer hit it and I saw the trailer bounce left and right. Some how he saved it, but I'm sure he needed some new pants after that.

They showed video clips of that same truck on KCCI this morning!

I'm waiting to hear back from the people at http://timberridgeiowa.com to see if we can get a day to wheel some trails. If I hear something I will make a thread for the trip. It's a little over 2 hours from Des Moines so not a bad day trip really. Close to South Dakota and Nebraska guys too.

Found out afterwards that Richardson had the flu. That definitely explains the severe drop off in energy by him after the first quarter.

Disappointing to see Iowa State played with the same lack of enthusiasm as usual.

We were at a bowl game at least, unlike the other school in the state.

Yes, they do quite well in the snow. As long as you have a little weight in the back, you' ll should be very happy with their performance!

sweet. glad to hear. i have a tick rubber stal mat from tractor supply that is cut to shape. it weights at least 80 pounds, prob closer to 90 or 100. i may add the extra 1’x4’ i have from cutting it to shape/size just for a little extra weight. i got it for $43 with tax, and it a lot thicker than OEM and cheaper. :D (have pic in my build if you like to see it.

I dunno, sounds kinda redneck, lol. I'll check it out, but I do already have the OEM mat. Let me know what you think of the grapplers in the snow.

hahaha yeah it is. i was going to get the oem, but never could find a used one at a good price close. saw some on here but i would have had to ship them. i was going to have to by new, and that would have been more than 2x as much money. i think the one i have protects more as well being so thick. and i will do that.

There's a fab shop in Cedar Rapids that builds bumpers, sliders, and a ton of other stuff for our trucks. I emailed him and am getting info. If I get sliders, a front winch plate bumper, and a rear plate bumper, he will take 20% off the total price. Otherwise his prices are very reasonable since you wouldn't have to ship. Check him out if you want some armor.
