Must not have driven by my place. 3 4Runners, a Camry, and a Tundra. Right not a bunch of Toyota doors sitting in the back driveway. :)

What are you trying to do? Are you looking to replace the cab mounts?

Thinking about putting on some 285's and might need the clearance.

Just wanted to get some estimates on the cost of the CMC, just in case.

You sir, are the minority out there! I'm surprised your house doesn't get egged on the daily by all the domestic truck folks. lol That is awesome to hear though, it's just amazing to me how 1,500 miles away can change the whole culture of what someone drives, wears, eats, etc. I remember I had a couple buddies in high school (went to Waukee) who had some older generation 4runnners and they were so rusted out you could hear the hallow-ness through the floorboards when getting over 35 MPH. lol I remember thinking "I am never buying one of these trucks." Now Toyota is one of the only car makers I still like!

Work relocated from CA to IA, so we decided to give it a try.

I am not familiar with any true fabrication shops in Des Moines. I am positive Frontier 4x4 in Chariton would be able do the work, not sure how far out he is booked.

    Thanks for the information.

Still debating on what to do about the tires. I've been wanting larger tires for a while now, but now that we live in IA, I might just stick with what I have. Unlike CA, there is no place to off-road here without knowing someone with private land or having to join some weird club (MIOBI).

If getting larger tires is just going to hurt my MPG's and there is no place to use them, what's the point.

Unfortunately most of the 1st generation trucks/4Runners around here are rust buckets. I have been fortunate to find a few that aren't. Sadly I have had a couple of sets of rust free doors for sale for a few weeks now and may have had 1 or 2 inquiries. Some of the doors may end up at the metal recycler simply because I may not have the room to store them.

I am not a member of that club and I still go there. I have known the land owner for 11 years and can get permission to go. The problem right now is I don't have anyone with another truck willing or able to go with me. If you want to go check it out sometime let me know.

My friend and I would be more than happy to join you at MIOBI for some trails. Timing would be the only issue for us.
