Please let me know what you guys find out. I'd be interested in going if they have plenty of mild trails in addition to the crazy stuff they show pics of. Even if I have a lift and tires by then I don't plan to take the 2012 mudding or rock climbing in the near future! :)

    No snow stories from today?

I took the back roads to work today at 6:30 AM and the Tacoma did awesome again on the unplowed roads. The factory tires only have 1900 miles on them and don't grip near as well as they did new though. Drifted unplowed snow out in the country was easier to navigate than the ice beneath the snow in Johnston. They can't maintain roads worth a shit. Pretty sure I'm going to go with the Duratracs before next Winter.

Saw a lifted stormtrooper at NW 62nd Ave and Lower Beaver on the way home before 4:00. Thought it might be chadderkdawg but I don't think it was him. Can't say for sure...

I drove 235 twice today and also down 63rd, Grand,Mills civic with zero problems. Actually drove over the speed limit on every road. Braking and traction were awesome with the Terragraps.;)

    Not I....

My Coopers have been awesome in the snow, lost trac for a second on 235 but that was about it. Pretty uneventful storm.

i'm not sure I want better tires. I can get my truck all over the place in 4wd if I want. It's pretty fun. Good tires would ruin all that fun.

Just wanted to say hi. I am from the Saylorville/Ankeny area. Also an ISU grad! Just picked my Taco up a few weeks ago.

:woot: welcome. There are a few of us around that area. I'm in the process of building a new house about a mile or 2 from Cherry Glen.

I have looked at your house build thread, congrats. The wife and I may be looking into building a house this Spring. On the opposite side of Saylorville Lake though. What builder did you go with, if you don't mind me asking? We have spoke to a few builders, realtors, and home owners and advice is all over the place.

We went with Strahan Construction. The builder is a long time family friend. My parents have built 5 houses now and they are one of the best we have seen.
