Iowa likes Missouri and Minnesota. Nebraska, Kansas and the Dakota’s, not so much.

@Cav_BluTRD already has 25% of the miles on his truck you do... hell my truck has more Nebraska miles than yours GQ and I don’t even live there!

IMHO, having lived in Chicago while I went to school, IL can suck it. Even though I also technically work in Illinois (I'm on an island in the middle of the Mississippi). Wisconsin is a good time though.

Illinois sucks. Wisconsin has packers fans. Enough said.

This is the north end of the trail.

Evidently, it's the most challenging trail in the whole Midwest because there is at least one section that nobody in their right mind would attempt with a stock truck. Luckily, there is a side track that was fun, and doable in a stock vehicle.

If you're interested, I'll be up there every few weeks after June 1st.

Also, we did a camping trip there last September, and I intend to repeat it in 2020.

There’s also the Iowa wild and they are terrible.

USHL and college sports are the Iowa things.

What is this "magnetic corrosion free gel" you speak of?

its some Canadian stuff I am trying out to spray my truck down this winter

    https://corrosionfree.com/

an older 3rd gen from Canada recommended to me
    clear no odor no drip
and a rather fun time applying with the spray gun

"Rust Cure bonds with the metal through its unique polarity, creating a new surface of protection. Water, oxygen and salt cannot penetrate this bond, rust and corrosion stop."

i have not yet tested it against heavy water spray, just a 100psi air gun

Oh, CF3000. Yep I'm familiar with that product. I'd also like to know how it works. Please keep me/us informed with your observations. From what I have read, it has very good reviews and a faithful following.
I don't like some of the (unsubstantiated) claims that they make on their website. They say things like "Magnetic attraction, Polar Conduction, unique polarity, dissolve and flush away rust and corroded contaminates". I've done a lot of work in the field of surface energy, wetting, and magnets BTW. Surface wetting and magnets have absolutely nothing to do with each other, two completely different principals. The terms that they use are not scientific terms. Their site sounds a little too much like they are selling snake oil. It very well be the best stuff on the market, but it turns me off when they use BS language to charm the general public.

i am just hoping it does not wash away easily like FF seemed to have on me while testing it through the underbody wash
it was drizzled on pretty thick
there is still enough left on the bottom but the side is very dry to the touch and may have signs of flash rust already

i am not a scientist by any means but do sorta like to know how stuff works and analyze. I don't know what surface wetting is :notsure:
... let my monthly unlimited car wash lapse so i cannot test the CF 3000 on this side of half naked frame through the undercarriage autowash without incurring more expense, i can probably simulate something at the wand wash and get my old knees soaked once i clean the flash rust contaminants off and brush on whatever gel is left at the bottom of the bottle, almost went through a gallon of it on 2 trucks.

one observation i can make on the application is that it did appear to displace water in the wheel wells behind the fender liners and rear panels that i had just scrubbed and rinsed out the best i could and left wet. With the wand stuck behind the places i could not see very well i was delivering 100psi of air and mix of product while water was coming out the other side of the fenders and the edges of the rear QP.
perhaps it was just the air pressure blowing the water, idk

are you telling me that its not possible to engineer a gels molecular structure so that it 'acts like a magnet'?
the only blowoff i got from this was pushing a bit much to the edge of panels @ 100psi and there was nothing left to cling to
i put a fine mist of it on the wheel arch moulding bolts that i replaced this year and it just clung to the threads, it was cool! i spent some good cash on some new bolts and screws this year and would like to protect them from weathering, especially the scuff plate screws that i have to look at every time i open the door
